Nice, but really a 4.5 star hotel

Would recommend Thu, Dec 10, 2015
In sum, I did enjoy my stay at the Fiesta Americana. Location was great, the beach was awesome, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Although this is a 5-star hotel, certain aspects of my stay did not measure up to this distinction. First, the hotel charges for coffee and tea bags in the room. Even in 3 and 4 start hotels in the US, there is no charge for these things...so I found this is be extremely disappointing. Second, they charge for use of the hotel fitness room. Again, most hotels provide this amenity free of charge. Finally, there was quite a bit of noise that could be heard right outside our door the sound of the cleaning staff dragging chairs across the floor was deafening. The staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful. We arrived at our hotel 4 hours before official check-in time, and they were able to provide us with our room right away. The seafood buffet dinner was the highlight of our stay. Pool and beachside service (towels, wait staff) was also very good the nightly turndown service was a nice touch.

Surprising great for the cheap price!

I've stayed at sister hotel live aqua which I think is better, but this hotel was still wonderful! Free upgrade to suite when I was unhappy with tree blocking view from my room. Fast drink service on beach, though didn't like you had to set up all your own chairs and carry towels from a distance up by pool. Great food and quality on room service. Spa was one of best in my life, and I've been to many.

Amazing views

Would recommend Sat, Nov 21, 2015
The Hotel was beautiful. The staff exceeded our expectations, friendly, quick to be of assistance. We came back to the hotel as we were in town and got caught in the rain. They came running up to us with towels and apologized we got wet. Our suite was beautiful, comfortable and exquisitely appointed. The bed was top quality. They paid very close attention to details. We are builders so we notice everything and we left with ideas for our homes. 5 Stars. We will stay here any time we are in Cancun from now on.

anniversary trip

Would recommend Sat, Oct 10, 2015
Truly a 5 star hotel. Marble and fresh flowers everywhere. Professional and courteous staff. We were on 11th floor and had a wonderful view. The pool area is lovely, clean and lots of available lounges in and out of the sun. The beach was clean...even though there was a lot of seaweed being brought in...(staff were unobtrusively cleaning it up.) We ate several meals at the hotel at La Joya: excellent food and entertained by mariachi. Lunch and dinner at Islay Contoy- outside and overlooking the ocean...perfect. The concierge advice was excellent - we asked about the Museum de la Maya and how to get there. He had us try the bus....easy beesy! Lobby is so very elegant...fresh flowers in unusual arrangements, the stained glass ceiling, the marble....just gorgeous. Our room was spacious, lots of marble, tall doors leading to the balcony, very discreetly elegant.

Would recommend Wed, Sep 9, 2015
We have been there multiple times over the years ,excellent location ,service ,staff is out of this world ,they spoil you . Food is excellent ,also you close to the best restaurants in that area ,walking distant .Rooms are clean comfortable and have the best-ocean view ,the higher the floor the better the view . Make sure you understand what you pay for ,Suite ,Jr Suite ,Club ,etc .You don't want to be surprised on arrival .Most of the time low season they will work with you ,high season you are out of luck. Food ,drinks ,breakfast is the meal of your day ,its extra . NOT ALL INCLUSIVE . FREE WIFI IF YOU ASK THE FRONT DESK and good Reception and on the BEACH .

One of the best

Would recommend Tue, Aug 4, 2015
The hotel was great.. Lots of restaurants, excellent breakfast buffet. The beach was awesome. They would always find you a spot protected from the sun. Pools were huge and to many people outstanding.. I'll rather be at the sand/beach.. Room was enormous and with a beautiful view.. The only but, was location.. as it is very close to Coco Bongo and similar hot night spots.. each time we returned from dinner at a restaurant or shopping mall.. we had a half to one hour traffic return to the hotel.. even when it was a few blocks away..

Wonderful romantic trip

Would recommend Fri, Jun 26, 2015
This is now my favorite hotel in Cancun. The service was excellent, friendly and beyond my expectations. We always have good service in Mexico but here they go above and beyond. They anticipate your needs and get you everything without having to ask. The room was spacious and very clean, the staff pay attention to every detail and really made a difference. Beautiful views, fresh flowers everywhere and the food was the best. Will definitely go back.
