Beachfront, family-friendly Cancun hotel
The pyramid-style Gran Melia Cancun is positioned along a half-mile stretch of sandy beach along the Caribbean Sea. The resort has a spa, fitness center, five gourmet restaurants, two swimming pools and a club for kids. The verdant property is punctuated by foliage and cascading fountains and has a nine-hole golf course. - The resort has more than 31,000 square feet of meeting and banquet facilities, 21 breakout rooms and two state-of-the-art business centers. The grand ballroom features 16,146 square feet of function space and the capacity for 1,100 people in a banquet-style arrangement or a reception of 1,800. The convention center can be converted into seven breakout rooms with a ceiling height of 25 feet. In addition, there are four breakout suites that provide 1,076 square feet of meeting space and a business center with state-of-the-art equipment. Adjacent to the convention center, the 6,789-square-foot Lanzarote Ballroom can accommodate 90 at a banquet or 160 in theater-style seating and can be divided into three separate function rooms. My fiance and I stayed here with the Red Level benefits. And we have been to a several hotels, but the overall feel, friendliness, the luxury of the Red Level Service, location and everything inbetween was a winner. We chose this hotel because of its design (pyramid shape) we weren't disappointed. If you are looking to chill out this is THE place. We had a king size bed, beach view room with our own balcony. To think we ordered room service, charged a few things to the room and uesd the mini bar and we only spent just under £200 in our stay was fab. Food was delicious. So gorgeous inside and out and the pools are right there close to the beach, so you can do both without having to choose. And everything is charged in Pesos. :-)

There's a bus stop right outside the hotel which is better to use for getting into town and cheap 6-8 pesos. instead of calling a taxi.

Just Beautiful
We just returned from a fabulous week at the Gran Melia in Cancun. The hotel is beyond beautiful. The lobby with its soaring ceilings and plants puts you right into a tropical paradise. The beach is clean and close. The pool was sparkling and the bar was close. The rooms were spacious and well maintained. Location is fabulous right across the street from Aqua World where you could board a boat to Isles Mujares or snorkling on the reef. Food was very good and plentiful. I would recommend to all my family and friends.

change your money in the hotel. The conversion rates are as good an anywhere else and it will be easy. Also, take the bus wherever you want to go. It is totally unnecessary to rent a car.

Unforgettable experience
This place is perfect for everyone, has activities for all. The room with the ocean view, is very comfortable and all the areas of the hotel are perfectly clean. All the staff make you feel good as a king. Sure I will turn back with my wife, and I hope with some friends. I really recomends the hotel, is amazing.

Expensive for everything you need including food and drink. Recomend inclusive deal if you can get a good price.Also it seems only red level guests enjoy great service and their pool MUCH nicer.

Quintana Roo addict
A favorite in Cancun
I've stayed in several hotels in Cancun and this one was one of my favorites. I want to qualify this by saying that I don't stay in the all-inclusives. I transferred to this hotel after a terrible experience at the Bel Air, and I was more than happy I had made the change. The main pool is gorgeous; my only complaint is that they play the music fairly loud and it is nearly impossible to escape the noise other than going to sit by the quieter, smaller pool. The rooms are staggered so that there is a lot of privacy and even though I didn't have an ocean view, I enjoyed the sunset lagoon side. The staff was very welcoming.

AWESOME Hotel
I went to Cancun twice and it was my hotel for the second trip. and it was super awesome hotel(much better then the other one which was for first trip!). My boyfriend and I really liked this hotel so much! Not only the price also Location, room, view, staff.. everything was amazing!
