The Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa is an adults-only, all-inclusive property located in the hotel zone. The resort has four restaurants serving everything from Japanese fare to seafood and steak. Guests can soak up the sun at the outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, work out at the fully equipped fitness center, play a round of mini golf or book appointments at the spa (fees apply). Several bars churn out cocktails and beer to the tune of live music. Meanwhile, comfortable guest rooms offer views of the lagoon or sparkling Caribbean waters.

Great Value
We usually stay at Dreams Cancun. It is much more expensive. This hotel was just as nice and the food was even better. The staff is top notch and the hotel is very clean. After staying at Dreams for the last seven years we have found our new favorite place. The all adult atmosphere was also a plus. I highly recommend this resort and can't wait to go back.

Clean, Quaint, and Inexpensive
I like to rate my vacations in three categories, "good", "better", and "best". My week at The Golden Parnassus is classified as somewhere between good and better.The hotel is small and a bit older than most on the strip, so therefore it lacks some of the ambiance and bells and whistles of its neighbors. However, there are many good things to report. First and foremost, the beach was both gorgeous and spacious...never a problem finding a beach chair. The specialty breakfast and lunch stations were quite enjoyable. I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit drinks, French toast, and oriental stations. Dinners were much more of a [*]shoot. The best restaurant was Shangri-La, but there were days when wearing long pants were just not an option. The hotel's location was very convenient to shopping malls, restaurants, and shops.The accommodations were nothing to write home about, the hotel has that Jersey shore feel about it, but I didn't go to Cancun to sit in my room. I was looking for a beach respite on the cheap, and found exactly what the doctor ordered. Some helpful hints…• The mini bar is not included• Bring a reusable water bottle to refill at the many water bubblers throughout out the hotel. If not you will need to buy bottled water at the gift shop or at a nearby convenience store.• Create a log-in at the internet table for future use• Check out the spa facilities, nice gym, locker room, and hot tubAll and all, the Golden Parnassus is what it is…a relaxing beach hotel on the strip…clean, quaint, and inexpensive.

Great for the price!
Great food, great atmosphere, great beach, GREAT STAFF, no kids, easy to take bus to/from flea market and restaurants, hotel close to the airport, everyone spoke English so you didn't need to know Spanish, felt very safe

Excellent Vacation
The Golden Parnassus is an adult only all inclusive hotel. It is a smaller property with about 225 rooms on one of the most beautiful beaches in Cancun. The size of the hotel enables you to get to know the hotel staff and the other guests. The service is excellent as is the food for an all inclusive. They have 5 ala carte restaurants and no reservations are required. It was our 4th time to this resort and we love it.

unmatched service, friendly staff
This was our forth trip to the golden and will be going back in oct. We loved the staff on our first trip there and now are lucky to call them our friends. We always meet great travelers when we are there as well.

AMAZING!!!!!
This was our second visit to Golden Parnassus. It was one of the best experiences we have ever had. We loved the service that the staff provided. The rooms were so clean. The food was delicious. And the entertainment staff made the stay so much fun. The only complaint if I had one is that, having to leave so early in the morning there was no breakfast provided. My husband is diabetic and with it being a long trip home, he has to eat. When I asked the staff for some provisions it seemed like they were unwilling to provide him with something even though I mentioned to them that is a life or death situation. But again, I have to say that we were very happy overall with everything!

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!
We have stayed at GP for the past 12 years-starting when it was Jack Tar resort and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Cancun. It might be a older resort and not as fancy as the 5-star resorts but it has what means the most to make a "perfect vacation" and that is the personal touch and warmth of a "paradise 2nd home". It is smaller which makes it easy for the staff to remember your name-esp if you return year after year. The new renovations are great and just make it a step above the rest!!

Great Time-Great Place
This was our third trip to Cancun. We have stayed at a different resort each time. There was a water leak in the bathroom-was fixed after reporting it. The kleenex box was empty a couple days until we set it out. Those were the only two negative things about the room. We celebrated our 30th Anniversary there. After telling the hotel staff they had a bottle of Champaign in the room and a towel shaped like a heart on the bed for us. We loved the omlets each morning. The seafood restaurant north of the pool area and the Shangra-la (which we didn't find till the night before we left) were the best. I know that it is an all adult resort but an older couple that arrived after we had been there 4 days insisted on going topless and hanging out at the bar and pool rubbing all over people and being obnoxious was pretty distasteful. The entertainment staff was really great. Specially [...]. Also the newest [...]. We met and made many friends there and will definately plan to return and stay at the Golden Parnasus.

Not as plentiful as before
Food was good, but they have cut back on different foods they used to put out for breakfast and lunch. Top shelf liquor is only available at the Shangrala restaurant, improvements they made to hotel are nice. We have stayed there 5 times.Better liquor would be a plus,and putting out more food. They need to have more night entertainment

Had a great time
Once we finally reached the hotel, they more than made up for the airport experience. We were treated like VIP's, the hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were good and plentiful. We met lots of new friends at the pool and on the beach. My favorite thing about the hotel, No Obnoxious Kids, just adults relaxing and having a large time. The only bad experience was deep sea fishing with Aqua World, it was a total scam. They tell you when you're booking that you will catch sailfish. When you get on the boat, they won't take you to catch sailfish, unless you agree to have it mounted for $1300 USD
