Winter vacation
We were very happy with all aspects of the resort. We prefer smaller resorts and this fit the bill completely. The rooms were very nice and well kept and the staff could not been nicer or more helpful. It was a very beautiful place and very relaxing which is what we were looking for. We really enjoyed the nightly shows. We would definitely stay there again.

Excellent stay for the money
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation staying at GR Solaris. The room was great. We paid the extra for an ocean view room- $30 a night well spent. The partial Lagoon rooms are not anything to write home about. You basically look at a roof or some other building structure with an elevator dinging outside your door every 30 seconds. The staff was even better. It is small enough that you don't have to walk a mile to the pool or the beach. The pool area is clean and it is not impossible to get a chair. The food could be better. It is a time share location so you will be approached. We made it very clear that we were not interested the minute we walked in and we were not bothered again. The nightly entertainment is aimed toward a 40+ crowd, but only lasts a few hours. There are shuttles to take the younger crowd downtown every night around 11pm. Overall, it was well worth the money spent. SIDE TIP: I would suggest a day trip to Isla Mujeres leaving early in the morning. Best restaurant by far-THAI at the Isla Mall. The huts are out on the water with your own private table and the food is amazing.

Downtown is a far walk from this hotel, but buses run by every few minutes and they are roughly 7 pesos (70 cents). I would suggest taking the bus everywhere. There really is no reason to pay for a car unless you are taking a day trip.

Worth the money!
The GR Solaris was very nice. We had a great time and was not ready to leave. Service was excellent. We loved Marco Polo and the different themes. Everything was wonderful!

LOTS OF FUN
THE GR SOLARIS WAS A FUN AND COMFORTABLE PLACE. WE WERE FORTUNATE TO GET A ROOM WITH A NICE TERRACE ON THE LAGOON SIDE (FRONT OF HOTEL). THE ROOM WAS VERY SPACIOUS AND NOT CRAMPED. THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND ACCOMMODATING. THE WAITERS AT THE RESTAURANTS ATTENDED TO YOUR NEEDS WITHOUT HESITATION. THE BARS WERE WELL STOCKED. THE ENTERTAINMENT STAFF PROVIDED YOU WITH FUN AT THE POOL AND AT THE LOBBY BAR IN THE EVENING. THE ONLY DRAWBACK WAS WITH THE SHOWER. THE WATER TENDS TO RUN INTO THE ROOM SO YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU PULL THE SHOWER CURTAIN CLOSE.

WE DIDN'T DRIVE, BUT TOOK THE BUS. THEY RUN CONSTANTLY DOWN THE STRIP ALL HOURS OF THE NIGHT, SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAIT LONG. WE DIDN'T USE ANY OUTSIDE RESTAURANTS, BUT THEY HAVE QUITE A FEW. ATTRACTIONS ARE ALSO JUST A SHORT RIDE AWAY.

Family Freindly
Our family had a fantastic time at the GR Solaris. The pool entertainment staff kept you busy all day and were a lot of fun. We enjoyed the location right off the ocean and would take a walk everyday. The only thing that we were unhappy with was the comfort of the beds. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay.

Very family friendly
The GR Solaris has everything a vacationer need and more. There was no need to leave the property. My room was spacious and had plenty of closet and storage space for clothing. The hotel sits on an incline, which would be a challenge for any guest who has difficulty climbing, in a wheel chair, walker, or the likes. Overall, the property is great.

excellent vacation spot
check in was easy,explanation of hotel lay out was good, room was good size, breakfast and dinner food was very good, lunches were ok, staff was great and very helpful,pools were large and clean, liked the adults only pool and hot tub, activities were good, shows were excellent, beach was nice but narrow, the noise from the generator from 6-10 PPM was annoying, location was good- 15 minutes from the airport, relatively quiet area, overall it was a great vacation experience, we recommend staying there and we are going back!!!

shopping in downtown cancun was good and a 20 minute bus ride for $ 0.65. mayan ruins are worth seeing but are about 2 hours away.

Great Resort Experience
This was our first visit with the GR Solaris in Cancun and we were totally impressed and in awe of their facility. The staff and the amenities were definitely of 5-star caliber. We were so taken with the resort that we decided to become a member of the Solaris family and are looking forward to our next visit. The food was delicious and the shows were excellent. We even tried the spa and it was a first class experience!!

Very Family Friendly
I think everyone should go and stay at the GR Solairs at least once, it is a great place and you are treated like a king. It is a trip we will never forget and would love to go again.
