Beautiful Beach
The beach here is absolutely beautiful. If you are looking for a place to relax at the beach this is it. The resort was very clean too. I did not see one pest or even a cob web anywhere. The quality of the food was below my expectations. There wasn't much variety and the stuff they had was just about tasteless. We didn't eat at the marco polo restaurant so I can't rate that food. We ordered room service and the food was a little bit better but the menu was the same everyday so that got old quick. They have a game room that is junky and needs improvement. Luckily we weren't there for the game room and we didn't have any teenagers with us. Also, they are very pushy about timeshare. We decided not to do the tour and the concierge called our room twice trying to convince us to go.

The public bus is safe, clean and convenient . There are some really good mexican food restaurants along the strip. Don't be afraid to get on the bus and explore.

Just got back, had a Great time. Had an Ocean front room, & it was well worth the money. Up graded when we got there, they let us put it on a credit card. Room was very nice. Bed was comfortable. Room was cleaned every day. Food was good. The Staff was Very nice! The entertainment crew was Very nice! It was the first time for my niece, & She loved it. I have been to Mexico several times at different resorts, and I would go back to this one! Don't know what some of the other people where complaining about. We had a Great time!

love this place
this is a amazing resort. i spent a wonderful vacation with my boyfriend in here. the stuff are really friendly, food is delicious. The beach is amazing, and the pool is perfect. This is the hotel i wanna go back again

Fantastic vacation!
A friend and I decided on short notice to take a quick trip to Cancun and thought we'd try an all-inclusive for the first time. After reading many reviews, we decided on the GR Solaris. We were so pleased with our experience that we're already talking about a return trip! As per previous reviews, the food was not stellar and the mattresses were a bit firmer than we like, but we knew that going in. The rooms, pools, beach and all common areas were spotlessly clean. The staff is exceptional. Everyone makes you feel very welcome and appreciated, especially our favorite bartender, Luis! The entertainment staff are a lot of fun and keep the party going. We took some advice from previous reviews and brought a bunch of dollar bills for tips which worked out well. We met several couples that are Solaris members and can stay at other locations, but many enjoy the GR Solaris so much that they choose to go back year after year. One reason may be that the staff treats the repeat guests like family. If you're receptive to it, prepare to be hugged :) There was a great vibe overall. One bit of advice ... if you neglect to pre-book your transportation back to the airport at the end of your stay, go to the travel office within the hotel. The front desk staff told us the only option was to take a cash-only taxi. That would have required taking the bus to the closest ATM ... not something we wanted to spend our limited time there doing. You would think the front desk would know that you could use a credit card at the travel office located on-site, but there you go. Other than that, just go and have a great time. We did!

Won't return
When with husband and two toddlers. Dissapointed overall at the location. The hotel looks bigger online and you can't visit the other Solaris hotels. The food was not great, menu did not change much even tough it was different teme nights. Only buffet open for breakfast and lunch. For dinner only restaurant that requires reservation and buffett. The games by the pool were not appropriate for families. The beach is not good for little kids waves are too strong. Not good for swimming or adults either. I would be at pool by 9 a.m and all chairs already reserved at pool and beach but nobody their. Stay somewhere else!

relaxing getaway
The room was alright nothing fantastic but was cozy.The bed was hard as a rock hard though.The pool and view were beautiful. Marco Polo restaurant was excellent but the rest of the food left us with a bad taste in our mouths. Overall though I will recommend it to my friends and family
