Cancun resort in hotel zone near shopping with optional all-inclusive
The conveniently located Flamingo Cancun is a 20-minute ride from downtown Cancun, across from a shopping mall and within walking distance of many attractions. Its vibrantly hued rooms overlook the ocean or lagoon. There are two pools, one facing the grounds, the other facing the Caribbean Sea. An optional all-inclusive plan includes three meals daily, plus snacks and unlimited domestic drinks at three bars as well as many daily activities and non-motorized water sports.

Comfortable and Centrally Located
The Flamingo Cancun resort was everything one would want in a vacation hotel. The junior ocean front suite was larger and more comfortable. The room had large closets and drawer space. It was also clean and brightly decorated. The food was great and the service staff was friendly and helpful. Located in the center of the hotel zone and close to a shopping mall. Housekeeping was creative with towel folding and the mini bar was always refilled daily. It was especially nice to have a biligual staff.

The shopping area was just across the street and had great prices on souveniers. A local bank was also located in the shopping area.

Very friendly staff made us very comfortable stay
The reception lady at the front counter did her best to get the room we dreamed. The room and its beds are neat. The whole environment are so beautiful and clean. It is easy of access the beach, pool and car parking lot. This hotel's location is wonderful at Cancun. The luxury shopping malls are just at walking distance (10 minutes or less) for night activity. And short distance to downtown Cancun by bus. And very good drive way to Maya ruins. We had a very good time.

The Flamingo in Cancun was very pleasant. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The environment was beautiful and relaxing. The hotel was conveniently located to other restaurants and the local bus system which is easy to use. The concierge was very helpful and had convenient hours. The hotel beach was gorgeous and had waverunner rentals and parasailing nearby. My husband and I would definitely go back again.

Xcaret- Bring own snorkel/mask, flippers & life jackets are free. Evening show is must. Biodegradable sunscreen required, buy ahead for less. Transportation: Around Town-Local Bus $.65 USD; to Hotel-ADO bus from airport to Cancun station- $3.50 USD pp, then cab to hotel for $10 USD; to Airport- Cab for $20 USD.

My review of Flamingo Cancun Resort & Plaza
Flamingo Cancun Resort & Plaza was very pleasant specialy with a great view of the Ocean. The staff made us feel very comfortable and great services from everyone.The location was very good near shopping centers and lots of selections for night entertaiment.

Great time
We had a great time at the resort. The front desk staff was great we asked to have ocean view and they got us moved as soon as possoible. Our bartenders and wait staff was great. WE had a great time with them and miss them already!!!! Israeal was the best!! All of food was good something different every night. The only complaint is the beds need to be upgraded. Great Location everything is in walking distance. Great hotel for your money. If you pay more you feel you have to just there and do nothing else. We had both!! Will be back!!

Very friendly
I have no knocks against the hotel staff. The counter personel were very good, a charming girl. Also the tour guide, was also very helpful. Being on the european plan cause a little truouble in the off the menu ordering. They would not let me charge the meal to my room. I also had a gripe with bartender in the lounge area who insisted that I pay $6.00 per drink for two pina colada's, one that did not have alcohol so that my grandchild could partake in one. The location was in a busy area, but it proved no problem. I am booked to return there on Nov. 26, 07.

great hotel for a good price great view and pristine location la isla shopping mall is within walking distance so is coco bongo, bubba gump and outback steak house DONT FLY MEXICANA AIRLINES THEY LOST MY LUGGAGE AND DID NOT REIMBURSE ME FOR ANYTHING

You have to go see coco bongo,scaret,xelha and chichen itza, go to cozumel and isla mujeres rent a motorcycle for 25 dll a day IF YOU GO TO ONE OF THEIR TIME SHARE PRESENTATIONS THE WILL GIVE THE TICKETS FOR FREE

Great location
I was pleasantly suprised to find the hotel close to so many activities. It was so easy to just step out to the bus stop right in front of the hotel and go up and down the hotel zone. Wasn't sure of where the hotel was when I booked, but it was nice, met some really nice people, loved the swimming pool area with bar - didn't have to keep getting out to get a drink! When we didn't feel like heading out to the city, it was nice just to stay around the hotel and take advantage of everything else the hotel had to offer.

Take the bus system. It was quick with the buses going up and the down the hotel zone every few minutes. Get and keep plenty of coins for the bus fare which is the cheapest way to travel. Buses seem to run all day and night.

very friendly and helpful
the room was very nice and the view was great ,the only trouble was they could put some free water in the room,and you need cnn,to watch.other wise this was a real great place and i would stay there again
