Flamingo Cancun Resort

start off, beach was beautiful, windy but hotel can not control. rooms and facility was very clean but when asked about the free internet, they said had changed offer months ago. we only booked it 2 weeks befor traveling. can not use phone cards in the room. lobby smeeled of potent cologne where the bedroom smelled of deodorizer. staff front desk and restaurant very cold. Buffet ..taste bland not appeatizing.

pool had daily activies and lunch by the pool bar.

We experienced a number of different problems beginning as soon as we arrived at the hotel. Although we arrived after the official check-in time, they did not have a room ready for us. Although they offered us a free "upgrade," the new room stunk of muskiness. Additionally, after returning from dinner, our door lock was broken. Rather than find a different room for us, they sat there and attempted to fix it for the next hour. Meanwhile, we couldn't leave or relax with the multiple staff members hammering away on the door lock while we were forced to watch. The greatest disappointment was that the only real reason we chose this hotel was for it's combination of cheap price and free guest Internet access. Well, that turned out to not be true. They wanted to charge a ridiculous $10 per hour for Internet usage. When we confronted the front desk about it, they claimed that the policy had recently been changed and our booking site must not have updated their information. No amount of pleading would get us a discount, or a credit for internet access. In the future, I will definitely pay the extra money to stay in a different hotel, and I suggest you do the same.

This was the worst hotel experiance I have ever had, room was horrible towel were dingy gray instead of white service was awful, staff was rude desk staff had no clue what to do..resturants in hotel were horrible food was awful... Gray line staff stole $120. promised to give back and never did, call the person on his cell phone 5 times guy never showed up with my money !! I would never reommend this place to anyone and I do not want to deal with Gray lines anymore.. Trying to get my money back, I wish I could have my whole trip refunded it was a huge mistake !!

the hotel staff at the front desk not friendly or helpful. Location of the hotel is very goodl walking distance to shopping areas. no coffee maker in the room, AC did not work that well.

We just returned from this resort. It was a wonderful vacation. The resort is small but very clean. The staff is great and the service they give is wonderful, I would recommend this resort to all travelers who want a great value and a great vacation. The location is great for shopping and the clubs and restaurants. Within walking distance or a short bus ride to all. Bus stop is in front of the hotel.

This hotel isn't a five star hotel, but it is right on the beach in the middle of the hotel zone. The buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner were very good with plenty of choices. We received the 20% food discount from Orbitz which amounted to a sizable savings. Considering that the best hotels have the same beachfront, this hotel is a great value.

The staff and food in both restaurants were wonderful and so was the housekeeping staff. The front desk staff was rude, unhelpful and unfriendly at all times!!! We will not go back to the Flamingo Hotel for that reason even though every thing else was fine for our entire stay!!

This was my second trip to Flamingo, and it was just as I remembered. All inclusive drinks all day at the pool bar and all night in the lobby bar...well, almost all night. Friendliest nicest staff ever. Rooms are comfy and simple, food is adequate. Hey, I wasn't there to eat! Beautiful beach out back, Margaritaville out front. What more could you want if you just want to do nothing but relax. Already planning another trip back next year. I give it 4 stars. I suspect most wouldn't just because it's not ritzy. If you want small, simple, cheap and relaxing...this is the place.

Very good experience. Interesting activities. Most staff members were very friendly and helpful. Looked very safe. Very clean. Very nice pool. The beach access is very convenient.
