Great Place

Great State of the Art spa. Not much sun by the pools because the hotel blocks it after the 1st 3 hours of the day. Rooms are wonderful. Service is great.

Good trip for 2

The hotel is good and clean, the staff are very nice. Although the hotel looks a little bit old outside, it has the good location! Food is kind of expensive in the hotel, but you can walk to the bar street, there are so many different kinds of foods, all very delicious, especially the taco. Beach and swimming pool are awasome!!! Every room is ocean view with a balcony, that is great!!!

Amazing and Breath Taking

If you want turn key, relax and refresh yourself in the most gorgeous spa in the world, this is your spot. Just a 2 minute walk to all the clubs in the Hotel Zone, we relaxed, partied, and enjoyed every second.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Negotiate with the guys and gals getting you into the clubs - don't pay full price, always ask and get a 2 for 1. Take the bus for short trips, taxi's are major rip off. Pre-pay for the grey-line shuttle from the airport. Take a tour of the Chichen-Itza Ruins, list was $89 per person we got ours for $55 per person. Go to Ladies Island for a snorkel tour, outside the Fiesta Americana to the right is the tour operators, ask and get an ala-carte private snorkel tour, we got 4 round trip boat passes, private 2 hour snorkel tour which included baracuda, sun fish, eel, octupus, and the coolest fish (better than the maui gig).

Fantastic resort - def recommend it!

Here is why I think this place rocks: 1. Service: The hotel staff are friendly, quick to respond and a pleasure to interact with. Examples: a) we had a late flight and requested a late checkout and were even willing to pay, the front desk team graciously accommodated our request at no charge. b) A special thanks to "Marco" in Coral Cafe - he is always so cheerful and welcoming, and made us feel so at home. We like spicy food and instead of giving the standard tabasco sauce he would get us this habanero salsa - it is super spicy but oh so delicious :) 2. Cleanliness - The maid service is TWICE daily - so the room always felt clean and the towels etc were well stocked. 3. Amazing views - we were on the 3rd for in a Jr Oceanfront suite, its high enough for a view but low enough to go by stairs instead of waiting for an elevator every time. Loved the balcony. 4. Resort - the pools, the grounds the beach are immaculate and the service(again!:)) is wonderful. The beach is gorgeous - white silky sandy beach with azure blue waters. Note - the pool is not warmed, we were lucky the weather was amazing so that didn't really bother us, but if you have lil kids thats something to think about. One issue that did bother me - We are vegetarians and I make it a point to convey that at the beginning of every meal and I was really bothered to get bacon in my breakfast potatoes in Vina del Mar(it was fixed) but still was quite disturbing. Again this is 1-off event so I don't want to dwell on it. Other minor irritating things - no free coffee in the room(yup - like the free stuff you get in ANY hotel) and wifi is 25USD/day Overall it was a fantastic vacation and would definitely return when possible.

couple get away

Hotel outstanding we just did not like the fact you can't get a simple answer to a question without the concierge trying to sell their package nonsense and wanting an hour 1/2 of your time to do so. We had to deal with that twice, I expect that nonsense from street vendors not a 5 start hotel. Thank you

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

buy crystal bottle water it is purified at OXO store cheapest price. Vendors are very annoying and at airport; unfortunately they do not take no for an answer and you have to be rude or walk away from them. Dicker over the price, never pay their asking price or second offer. Walk away b/c you can get it cheaper somewhere else. DO NOT HAVE ICE CUBES EVEN AT THE HOTEL THEY ARE NOT PURIFIED WATER. DO NOT BUY BOTTLED WATER AT THE HOTEL OR ON A TOUR RESTAURANT-THEY CHAREGE 4-5x THE PRICE AT THE OXO STORE WHICH IS LIKE A 7 ELEVEN MINI MART. MANY PEOPLE WE FOUND TO BE SCAM ARTISTS WHICH IS THE HUGE NEGATIVE TO CANCUN BUT THE ONLY NEGATIVE TO THE TRIP.

Very satisfied!

I have to say, my husband and I were very pleased with this hotel. For once, what the hotel claimed it could offer was right on the mark, if not more! The staff was AMAZING! Very attentive, very friendly and always gracious. The breakfast each morning was very good, and a good selection, but it would have been great if they could vary the menu on a day to day basis. Being there for a week and eating the same thing every morning got a tad old, but it was ok. The room was spacious and clean, the spa was amazing, the pools were great, and being right on the beach was a big plus as well. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!!! Thank you Fiesta Americana!

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

So, my husband and I were solicited by some Vacation Package organization, who were onsite in front of the check in desk. It was kind of like one of those time share deals, which we'd never bothered to do before. Get a free breakfast, and go to a presentation, then get a free gift (in our case, it was a free couples massage and spa visit for about 3 hours!!). We decided to go ahead and do it just to get the free spa visit. What we didn't know is that it would be offsite at the other Fiesta Americana resort about 7 minutes away by cab. We had no idea and were a bit weary about it, just because they failed to disclose this. Anyway, to make a long story short, the people were nice, and for about 1.5 hours of our time, to get a 3 hour spa visit out of it was totally worth it. What is NOT worth the presentation is the package they are offering. The math doesn't add up, and to the uneducated consumer, I would hate to see people invest in something like this. That's just our opinion. So, consider yourself informed!

Great time

Great time, the staff is amazing. It wasn't super busy either, despite it being in the middle of February. Everything we ate was great. My only complaint would be that the drinks are super expensive (5USD for a 1 liter bottle of water, $6.5USD for a glass of orange juice). That seemed pretty wild compared to food prices. The beach is great and private. There are some small reefs nearby that you can snorkel on if you have your gear and its close enough to downtown to let you hop on the bus to go to the great restaurants there (ie go to Peter's, its right at the entrance to the hotel zone in cancun, take the R1 or R2 and get off at Ave Bonampak and head north for a block and you will find the best restaurant in cancun with great prices)

a wonderful and relaxing vacation!

This is my third time at the fiesta and i was very excited to be in the new wing. everything is beautiful at the hotel and the staff is always willing to make your stay special. the hotel is in a great location. It was difficult to get lounges at the pool if you were not up early to get them. Also, the fitness center charges 10$ per day to use it.
