Excellence Playa Mujeres Cancun Luxury Adults Only - All Inclusive

The Excellence Resort Spa at Playa Mujeres in Mexico provided us with a most satisfying vacation experience. We enjoyed the multiple dining options available which provided a vast selection of culinary delights for breakfast , lunch and dinner. The room was simply marvelous and equipped with all of the amenities of a resort whose aim is to provide luxury and comfort in the utmost of style. Flatscreen TV, whirlpool/ bathtub, minifridge and luxuriously appointed living room area offset by king sized four poster bed with a view across the room and onto the terrace. There was nightly entertainment at the resort with live singing and bands that could really play a variety of music. The staff was outstanding and the service left nothing to be desired.The rooms were kept immaculate, the toiletries refreshed and the fridge restocked with whatever you desired. Instructional Scuba diving lessons are a must if you want a really exciting and enlightening experience. The instructor at the resort is top notch. Affordable outside activities were also offered by the resort as well, such as trips to Tulum which means The Walled City where we saw majestic ruins and Xel- Ha. We would have liked the services of the SPA to have been included in the all inclusive price so that we could have indulged in that particular aspect of the resort i.e. (steam and sauna ) ,but with all of the sun and fun activities available it was not missed. The gymnasium allowed us to get a wonderful workout with the latest equipment from free weights,treadmills and multiple weightbearing machines in a mirrored and air conditioned setting. Whenever we had a desire all we had to do was pick up the phone and dial At your service and it would appear. We highly recommend this resort to all who want an enjoyable experience.

Beautiful resort. Impeccable service. Clean rooms with house keeping 2x/day. Great food/restaurant options. Lively nighttime entertainment. Lovely gift shop. Blissful spa. Very helpful activity desk. This resort is wondeful. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were great, the drinks were top shelf, the pools were amazing, the food was good. All in all this was a great hotel.

We stayed here in July for 4 nights. The check-in took about 30 min. but mainly because we arrived quite early (around noon) and many guests wanted to check-out. So we waited with our champagne - no complain here. Check-in itself was smooth and we got a beeper, as our room was not ready yet. Reception staff was very friendly and efficient. Our room was ready at 3pm. We have stayed in many hotels around the world, but this has been the nicest one. Daybed on the balcony, huge room and bed - perfect to relax. The housekeeping takes some time, but it didn't bother us. We got turn-down service on 2 out of the 4 nights. You have a choice of 6 restaurants (French, Italien, Mexican, Lobster, Grill, Tapas Bar) and they all serve good food. Not high 5 Star but we didn't have any complaints. Service was always fast and friendly. Cocktails are available everywhere and we enjoyed the service at the beach or in the poolwater. They are still building in the surrounding area but we didn't noticed any noise. This hotel is perfect for couples who want to get away from the hussle of Cancun and enjoy their time as a couple. You have to try out the chill-out lounge at night on the beach. Check-out was smooth as well and we were sorry to leave.

The staff are all gracious and helpful. The property is very well maintained. The room was extremely clean. We arrived early and enjoyed refreshments in the club lounge then went to eat lunch while the room was being readied. The room had the roof top jacuzzi and there was a great view of the beach & ocean from up there. There were 2 bed loungers up there plus 2 chairs. The balcony off the main level had a large bed lounger and a table with 2 chairs. The in-room jacuzzi sat in a nook with windows that opened to view the ocean. The marble shower was absolutely the best I've seen. It was large and had a rainshower head plus a wand you could take out of the bracket and hold. The sinks are not separted from the bedroom by a solid wall but an open window so you can view the ocean. The water closet had a frosted glass door. I would have preferred a solid wall between the bath & bedroom to offer more privacy. All the pools were well maintained and the beach was raked multiple times a day for the sea grass. There was plenty of beach chairs and usually enough towels throughout the day. The water is shallow a way off the beach so you can just lounge out there and not be in too deep. The restaurants offered different cusine so you had a good choice. The french restaurant was the best. The brunch in Barcelona was extensive and you could find anything you wanted. I can't wait to go back.

We stayed four night and it was great. Just wanted to note a couple of things which were not mentioned. - Need to bring some fancy clothes for dinner for French, Italian and Asian restaurant. Those were pretty upscale & fancy ones. - We stayed in the swim-out room and accidently opened the door for a couple of hours and got a lot of mosquitos. Keep the door closed all the time! - Jaccuzzi: Whenever someone in the upstairs uses it, i can hear the noise but it was not that bad. - The hotel was located a little far from the club area. Taxi fare was $25 one way.

This was my most enjoyable vacation ever. I have already recommended the resort to everyone who asks about our vacation. Upon arrival at the hotel, my daughter stated, Mom, we could stay here forever. We were made to feel at home immediately. There was not a thing we wanted for. I cannot say enough about Excellence Playa Mujeres. If I take another trip to Cancun that is where I will stay! There were six pools, eight restaurants, and innumerable experiences to enjoy.

This hotel was awsome for my husband and I. Having five kids it was nice to go somewhere where it was kid free and very relaxing. We were absolutely pampered the whole trip.
