Crown club rooms also have double Jacuzzis, mini bars, bathrobes and slippers.

Dining

they can't mess up a beautiful beach

Our experience at this hotel was lackluster to say the least. The specialty restaurants were good and the beach was beautiful, now to the rest of the resort/staff. I wish I had an honest review like this I would not have picked this resort, and I wouldn't recommend it to a friend either. The whirlpool tub in the rooms looks pretty in the picture, ours actually had brown water come out initially then ALL of the jets sprayed water all over the room including on our bed. The mini fridge that is supposed to be restocked everyday took two days and four different requests to get accomplished. The robes, fruit tray, and champagne that were supposed to be in our room never showed up even after two requests, we just gave up because we had realized they didn't care and weren't going to help at that point. Our flight down there was cancelled because of a mechanical safety issue so we called the resort to let them know we were still coming but wouldn't be able to be there until the next day, they said "no problem, we'll hold your room for you" then told us we didn't have a reservation because we were a "no show" when we arrived. Print and bring your confirmation number with you we heard at least two other groups of people checking in the times we were at the desk who were also told they didn't have reservations! I have never had an all inclusive resort with so many extra costs on things! Wine with dinner, extra charge. You can have a lobster dinner at any restaurant, for $32. Want to make a toll free call, $5 connection fee (which I should point out when we tried to use the phone the company you have to give the credit card info tries to put a $49 charge on the credit card to start so don't use the phone if you can avoid it). You want a drink delivered in the buffet, you have to tip and ask with money in your hand or you can get it yourself. The golf at the neighboring resort was great but for being "included" it was $50 per person, I would say that was at least worth it. They delivered drinks via cart the whole time your golfing: beer, soda, snacks, water, stop at the clubhouse for lunch, cold towel to rinse your face when your done, call you a cab, clean your clubs, all these things were actually included in your $50 fee with the neighboring resort who owned the golf course, I wish we had just stayed at that resort, I think we would've been a lot happier.

Nice week in the sun

Crown Paradise Resort has wonderfully dedicated and caring staff. The place is clean, fresh, and filled sunshine. The beach is outstanding as we walked about 20 miles on the beach throughout the week!!! The resort seems to cater more to families with children than to adults and that was a bit disappointing. The food offered in the buffet was of low quality in that there was not a lot of variety and the food that was offered was either cold or tasteless. The individual restaurants offered a higher quality of food and we enjoyed the steakhouse and the Italian restaurant. Opportunities for adult entertainment were few other than visiting and drinking in the bars. The evening performances were mediocre and geared to families, the nightly events after the performances-karaoke, dancing, etc were overtaken by children and the late night offerings for adults consisted of playing pool in the adult bar or dancing in the disco with a gaggle of 20 something's. Needless to say in the future we will look for an adult only resort for our vacations. We hopped on the bus and went downtown to shop, have lunch and catch up with friends at other resorts. The buses were clean, prompt and cheap!! Would we go back to this resort...sure....if we went with our grandchildren! It was a great week and I would recommend the Crown Paradise for families with children of all ages!

Winter Getaway

The room smelled musty, the hotel seemed very dated overall, the food was horrible, we had to ask for music twice at the adults' pool. I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the cups used at the pool/beach bars or the overall cleanliness of the resort. The last resort I stayed at in Riviera Maya had superior service, waiter delivering drinks to you on the beach, etc. This hotel lacked much in service. I would not recommend it nor stay there again, even for the money.

Honeymoon Getaway

Me and my wife stayed here for our honeymoon and had a great time! The hotel was great, staff were always there to assist you, and the all-inclusive was a great deal! The food in the buffet was pretty good, just got sick of it after a week there. But that's why they have the a-la-carte restaurants! Highly recommend the French fancy restaurant and the Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately the Italian and Japanese restaurants were closed for renovations during our stay, so I can't comment on that. Rooms are ALL BEACH VIEW!! It doesn't look like there is a bad room in the joint! Also, if you can, upgrade to the VIP all-inclusive package which gets you a room on the top floor (adults-only floor) and access to the VIP bar on that same floor. The VIP bar offers breakfast in the morning, lunch, and snacks and drinks all day/night! All in all, we loved our stay here at Crown Paradise and will definitely recommend this hotel to friends!

Nightlife tip: Short drive from hotel

Be sure to look at the bottom of the list of excursions (after you select your flight and hotel) and select the Sunset Cruise package. Its free and includes a 2 hour cruise, your first drink at a club in Cancun, and transportation to the cruise and then to the bar. Just bring a few extra pesos to take the public bus back to your hotel. Lots of fun and its free.

More Communication!!

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. the food service and accommodations were excellent. However, I paid extra to be a VIP member. My husband and I were not informed of the special areas were were could relax, dine and have breakfast. We ate in the main dinning room for four days at the general buffet. A fellow guest told us about eating on the 8th floor of the VIP area. I also felt that there is too much sales pressure to buy a time share . I agreed to listen, but ended up spending three hours listening to sales pitches. The rest of our stay was lovely. MG

Terrible service.

The room we reserved was unavailable at check-in and no concession to our inconvenience was made. Every day of our stay out room keys were deactivated and needed to be reactivated. The front desk staff was not very helpful and seemed entirely unconcerned with our complaints. The food is mediocre at best even in the restaurants. Bring conditioner because you won't find any in your bathroom. If you like firm beds that is what you'll get. just don't expect any service above the minimum. The spa staff on the other side was friendly.

Second Time Stay

This place is just a "Bang For The Buck"!...This was our second stay,so we knew what to expect!...We are a 60's+ couple,so we book the more expensive room and use "The Adults Only Pool",which is outta this world for people without children. Simply: "The Crown" has all one would want for an "All Inclusive"!!

Very average!!

The bad: We had to change rooms four times due to air conditioning problems. The food is mediocre at best. Every restaurant we went to was of poor quality. The staff did a wonderful job of photoshopping the pictures to make it look tropical. Had a daily barrage of salespeople. The good: The breakfast buffet was decent and there was lots of food. The staff was very respnsive and friendly. Great drinks. The Crown Club, upgrade, was worth as we had our own private bar and internet. Overall: Not great , not terrible, just a mid to low resort. I guess you do get what you pay for.
