  • Indulgent spa offering hydrotherapy treatments, Swiss and Scotch showers and massage therapy (fees apply)
Rooms

There are a total of 618 guest rooms at the Crown Paradise Club. Rooms with either a king or two double beds -- and, in some cases, bunk beds -- are situated in two curvaceous seven- and-eight-foot towers. All are outfitted with private balconies overlooking the ocean, 24-hour room service, cable TV, in-room safes and telephones with voicemail. Crown club rooms also have double Jacuzzis, mini bars, bathrobes and slippers.

Dining

Seven restaurants range in style and include Japanese, French, Mexican and Italian. There is an "old west"-inspired steakhouse with mechanical bull. Several beach bars offer open-air relaxation, while a sophisticated lobby bar fosters special occasions.

Recreation

Abundant activities are available on the grounds of the Crown Paradise club, including aerobics, basketball, tennis at two lit courts, snorkeling and scuba diving demonstrations. A mini golf course is open daily, and there is a game room as well as nightly theme shows. Guests also receive complimentary rounds of 18-hole golf nearby.

Second Time Stay

This place is just a "Bang For The Buck"!...This was our second stay,so we knew what to expect!...We are a 60's+ couple,so we book the more expensive room and use "The Adults Only Pool",which is outta this world for people without children. Simply: "The Crown" has all one would want for an "All Inclusive"!!

A great family vacation

We just got back from Cancun yesterday (Nov 29, 2012). What a great family vacation and a beautiful place! One of the best trips ever. The hotel was nice, stunning ocean views from every room, lots of all-inclusive meals to choose from, kids and babies clubs, many activities on the hotel grounds. And so affordable. I want to go back already. I was impressed by how humble and helpful the staff were. One note of caution: if you have a baby and want some quiet nap time, bring a white noise machine. There is a lot of noise from all the fun activities throughout the day and late into the night....

Birthday getaway

The beach and pools were awesome as was the staff. The food was somewhat bland. We had small bugs crawling around on the bathroom sink and counter. If those issues were addressed, the trip would have easily been five stars all around.

Nice!

We've been to Cancun many times and so far this is the hotel we've liked the best. It's your typical all-inclusive resort, but it has some pluses compared to others that we've been to: 1) lots of restaurants and food options so you don't get bored of the food, 2) the food was very good! the buffet style restaurant served lots of different kinds of food and the Mexican restaurant "Los Gallos" was very good too, 3) great kid's club (waterpark with pirate ship and slides, movie theater, basketball court and activities), 4) nice swimming pools with activities during the day and an adult-only pool, 5) extra activities for kids like a climbing wall, a zip line, tobogans, pin ball machines, ping pong, mini golf, etc... 6) indoor pool (nice if it rains) The minuses: 1) expensive wifi (almost $100 USD for one week) and BAD connection from our room (we only got good reception at the lobby), 2) since the hotel is located on an open sea beach, the sea was rough, 3) reservations are required for dinner at the restaurants (except the buffet, which is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and they fill fast (so if you want to choose a specific time, you better make your reservations early in the morning of the day before) All in all, we would recommend this hotel for a family vacation.

Good... but few things to consider....

We looked at almost every hotel in the Cancun area, and this was the only one that seem to be geared towards families/and small children. Their children area and activities is amazing! They have daycare, babysitting (additional cost but cheap), activities, entretainment, movies, shows, and some activities for adults. It almost felt like a summer-camp-retreat. The food was OK. 5 restaurants that you need to book ASAP because they will always say they're booked when in reality once you actually get a reservation and go in, there are many tables empty. We did get stomach sick first two days and that was awful. Unsure what it was because food looked fresh. Kids did not like the food much, despite having hotdogs, nuggets, and other "common" foods because it did taste different. As for the hotel, its old and needs to be patched up and perhaps updated here and there, but it is very clean, the smell of bleach is everywhere and even the public restrooms are spotless. Staff is overall very very friendly and helpful. The rooms are just average, but if you are trying to go to bed, it is hard to fall asleep because you can actually hear all the entretainment from the lobby-- which they have live music and activities at night. If you are single or expecting quietness, luxurious and 5star vacation, this is NOT for you. Now, if your main purpose is to have a good family time with your small children, then definetly consider this hotel. Also, try not to book in their "high season", because despite having 5 swimming pools, children area, sports area and beach, this hotel is sooo huge that it actually feels very very crowded during high season, especially during meals at the main cafeteria Lapalapa. One thing that caught my attention is that the pictures from the children's pool with the pirate ship, its actually real, not like many hotels, and it is great!!!!!! 1'8" deep throughout the pool. My 20 month old baby as well as my 4yr old were super happy and comfortable there.

Needs Upgrade

The reservation only resturants are not worth taking the time to bother with resevations. Food is bland, although the presentation is very good the steaks are very thin and everything is over cooked. The menu choices are blah. And have been for the last three years that I have been there.

Great Trip

The Crown Paradise is a great place for the entire family. The food was great and the choices were very good. We stayed by the water, in the pool and on the beach. The children loved the entertainment and we enjoyed every minute watching them interact with staff and other visitors. We asked the children if they wanted to go to Florida next year and they said they want to come back to the Crown Paradise. We loved it and we will return next year for the third time.

Very average!!

The bad: We had to change rooms four times due to air conditioning problems. The food is mediocre at best. Every restaurant we went to was of poor quality. The staff did a wonderful job of photoshopping the pictures to make it look tropical. Had a daily barrage of salespeople. The good: The breakfast buffet was decent and there was lots of food. The staff was very respnsive and friendly. Great drinks. The Crown Club, upgrade, was worth as we had our own private bar and internet. Overall: Not great , not terrible, just a mid to low resort. I guess you do get what you pay for.
