Five restaurants and 24-hour room service compliment amenities such as a modern spa, fitness center and club for kids. Guests partake in activities such as pool volleyball, basketball and ping-pong. The pool has a section for kids, and there are three outdoor Jacuzzis and two swim-up bars.

Not what they say,but what you get.
When we checked in they again for second time lost or had wrong information on our booking. We waited about 1 hour before every thing was done.Hotel was going through renovation the whole time we were there. The room they gave us was also near kitchen so you were woken up about 6:30 am every day by sound of dishes.Noise in hotel travels every where,so if you have loud people about you here it.The staff was nice ,and seemed to work hard for your needs ,and rooms are very clean.Food was not bad ,but not five stairs ether.I would not go back here again not worth the money.

Family Break
Kind of pricey, but every room is equipped with an uber jacuzzi and the rooms are pretty spacious. The beds are on the firm side. There is construction as the New Hard Rock Cancun, mostly in the lobby. Some areas are closed because of construction e.g. steak house, hotel shoppe, upper deck pools. Our rooms were kept clean. Staff was always friendly and helpful. The pool is very large, the beach front is cleaned and well maintained. There's an 8 pm show at night and some activities through out the day. There is a live band keeping the pool area entertained in the afternoons. It is all-inclusive, Ciao, buffet, teppanyaki, and mexican restaurant was good. Flank steak was always flavorful and tender. The 1500 credit is a little bit deceiving at this palace resort. There are limits e.g. 300 max on spa service. We did the Isle mujeres and dolphin swim. The Isle was all around relaxing and fun... there was a pool area, snorkeling with the sting rays and sharks included. The downtown area on the Isle felt like a relatively safe place to shop for local souvenirs (cheaper than airport prices if you know how to bargain for mexican souvenirs) Beware, chichen itza is a 2.5 hr ride to the mayan ruins each way... its a wonder of the world and the buses are comfortable with food included. You cant use all 1500 on excursions, dolphins, and spa, I got 2 beauty lotion kit to use the remaining credits (that looked more like sample sizes) that they claim were 350 each..... I cancelled the Tulum trip for Xelha and Xplor. These were extra $$ excursions but I especially enjoyed them, These are essentially nature parks. In Xelha we can snorkel or lazy-man on floats all day in clear waters with no tides and rich aquatic life, there's a mangrove water system, mayan caves. I got to jump off a cliff right into the water, tarzan swing into water, bike ride, swim in mayan caves, mini zip line and rope walk -- just be sure to have at least ur flippers. In Xplor, you can zip line their circuits over jungles. Each circuit is very long with almost no wait time. Last zip-line usually ends in the cool waters. There's and underground cave system (stalagtites and stalagmites) with fresh crystal clear water. The long water route takes about 40 min to complete the swim. There's also cave paddling on a raft and the amphibian off-road/ water vehicle circuit. The vehicle can go on land, bridge, caves, and water... just be sure to take as much pictures in this park (smile for the camera). I didn't visit xcaret but know that it's HUGE and may take 2 days to explore. All X- parks include food and drinks. Otherwise you can lounge away at the hotel, pool, and beach... beware though, the tides on this beach can be rough... the Isle of mujeres inner side is always guaranteed to have calm clear waters... their beaches are amazing. I'll definitely return to cancun, I hope the renovations by Hard Rock turn out amazing.

Great getaway but wait till renovation is complete
We had no idea that the property was under renovation as it has recently been acquired by Hard Rock. Our room had a partial ocean view. Upon check-in when we requested a higher floor (we were given level 2 rooms), it was turned down. I would not recommend rooms on level 2 as the lobby is one floor down and it gets noisy, would recommend level 4 and up and preferably not corner rooms. I think because of the price we paid, we were given the worst rooms in the hotel. My parents' room was not ready until 4pm for which we had to call and ask for the key. Food choices were minimal as the Asian place was closed for 3 out of the 5 days we were there. The pools were awesome and the beach access was great. they try and sell you a timeshare in lieu of credit points toward spa treatment, we took it but for next time we wouldn't want to waste our 90 minutes. I think the problem is with renovation, once they have everything under the Hard rock brand, which isn't till August 2012, i wouldn't recommend going. The kids club is awesome and one of the best things we could avail of during the stay, while our daughter played with kids her own age, we had dinner and did some adult talking. 5 stars for the kids club.

Great place to get away!!!!
Great place to spend some quality time. The staff went out of their way to make sure all my needs were meant. They were very patient with my lack of Spanish. They provided great service and advice. They were very knowledgeable about the area and their culture. I would stay there again. Though by the next time it may be called the Hard Rock Hotel. They are in the process of changing the name and decor. The massage was so good I booked the same lady twice! The location is within easy walking distance of shopping areas. If you don't want to walk the bus stop is just in front of the resort entrance.

Great week at Cancun Palace
Just got back after a great week at Cancun Palace. This is our second trip there and again, we had a fabulous time. Our teenagers, 16 and 14, love this place and are already plotting how they can get back there next year. Hotel is currently in transition as it moves to a Hard Rock Hotel. Hopefully, the new management will keep the same customer service oriented philosophies as the Palace Resort management.
