Good location poor service

I love the location however the hotel is old and dirty. I asked for towels 3 nights in a row and never did they bring them. The food is nasty but the people were very nice. The hotel needs to be remodeled!

good location

My daugher and I stayed for 6 nights here. At first glance the place needs a lot of maintenence work, but I had read the other reviews so that was not such a shock. The food iwas not good, breakfast was the best, but I was never hungry and my 10 yr old wasnt either. We went to the Isla mall on the bus very safe for 85 pesos with free wifi on the bus!, This hotel has very friendly staff and all the other reviewers were correct. wifi was $15 at hotel lobby for 24 hours but free wifi at la isla mall at many stores\ go to Iscaret a great day out highly enjoyable we swam with the dolphins well worth it.

Stayed at Belle Vue in Cancun, Mexico 3/20-3/27/12

We really had a good time with Jorge the waiter in the pool area and with Jose the bartender. The room - amenities were fine. There was no coffee machine. Curtains had mold and room smelt like mildew. Cleaning was good. Food was OK. "guest service" is someone trying to get you to go see their time share, so be aware they will bug, and bug. Night Activies with Tavo, and Raul were amazing and well coordinated. Socially I had a good time. Beach was amazing, lawn chairs need to be repaired. Location is towards the end of the hotel zone, so longer bus rides. Overall had a nice time but could have been better.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

The flamingo mall and Tequilla muesum has the same shot glasses and small bottles of tequilla for cheaper than the swap meet place.

Very average experience

We stayed at this all-inclusive on March 26 through April 2. The hotel is just below average on amenities, entertainment, pool arrangement, equipment, ..... I can continue for quite some time to make a long list: the door cards have a lot of problems, some of the rooms don't have fridges, you get 2 bottles of water upon arrival and then you have to fill them up; evening entertainment sucks, the pool and the area around are quite small... On the other note, the service was very good, people do what they can with the old and outdated equipment, keep it clean. The reception and the waiters, the maids are very helpful and nice. You are entitled(????!!!) for only one visit to the Mediterranean restaurant. I have to say, that after the visit I didn't want to go there once more: the food wasn't delicious and the restaurant is overrated! But the overall experience thanks to the sun, the beach and the see was good!

Mexico getaway

We stayed in this hotel at the end of the holiday. On the other days of our trip we stopped in a house and smaller hotels away from cancun and either cooked or ate out. This was an all inclusive so that we did not have to worry about finding places to eat. The hotel was OK. It had buffer food that was acceptable not great. I was told that if you stayed for more than 5 days then you could eat at the restaurant that was only for long term guests. The room was acceptable but showed its age. The beach was the best part of this hotel. It was clean and not packed. The reception staff were nice but the restaurant and bar staff were busy and did not have time to be pleasant. In other smaller hotels that we stayed in. the all the staff were pleasant but I think the number of people they had to serve made them too focused on the tasked that they had to perform rather than deal with the niceties. Overall it was OK place to finish off the holiday but I would not stay there for more than a day.

VERY GOOD FOOD TO ENJOY A VACATION!

The hotel needs a lot of improvements. Only 2 swimming pools and few umbrellas for the beach when the number of guests is numerous. The furniture of the rooms needs to be upgraded. Also the daily entertainment could be more selective than just having karaoke nights at the sports bar. The best thing of this hotel was the food.

Spring Break 2012

I went on Spring Break with 9 of my friends to Bellevue. We booked 8 months in advance, and I called to confirm that all of our rooms would be next to each other, and they granted that request. When it came time to arrive, we all checked in and my room was on the first floor (convenient), one of the other couples was on the fifth floor, and the other rooms were on the third floor. This was a little irritating, but didn't matter that much overall. But one of the rooms that was booked was for a two person room, but when they checked in they saw that there was only one bed (and that wasn't going to work). The hotel staff was more than willing to work with them, and placed them in a new room the next day. The staff at the pool bar seemed to be a bit gready. You wouldn't get any service unless you had money in your hand it seemed like. They would set the tip jar in front of you and walk away like they expected to get money before they served you. Overall, the staff was a blast and friendly. Everyone wanted you to have a good time, and we did. The food was nothing special. They seemed to have the same food every other day, and the food didn't really taste like anything. There wasn't much flavor to our meals, but at least the majority of the people didn't seem to get sick. There was always a spot open to eat which was great, and the more "fancy" place, offered a great change of pace from the bland food. The location is reasonably close to the city and night life. It is only about a 20 minute venture to get to the city and the clubs, and the cabs run every 5 minutes and only cost $1 USD. The atmosphere is safe in the city as long as you aren't going by yourself obviously, and I would recommend going out for a couple nights to see the sites. Overall, the staff was very friendly, our room was cleaned on a daily bases, and everyone seemed to have a good time. If you are looking for value, I would compare it to an upper scale Motel 6 or Super 8 of Cancun, but still a great place to stay!

Dining tip: In Hotel

Make sure to book at the Meditteranean Restaurant. You can do it once during your stay, but you have to make sure to make the reservation early at the main restaurant. They fill up fast, and only take reservations the day of.
