Beachscape Kin Ha Villas and Suites

The hotel staff, hotel location and food were great. We were very pleased with all of the accommodations and we would certainly return again. We found it to be very private, family friendly and all of the staff were always pleasant and willing to help. Again, I would return.

I frequently book hotels through 0rbitz and I am rarely disappointed but in this case, I will have to disagree with many of the positive reviews here. Although the Kin Ha offered reasonable value and it is difficult to go wrong in Cancun because of the beautiful beach and surrounds, I would not stay here again. We have a 21-month-old daughter and were put in a room on the third floor in an enclosed area housing three other rooms. We were told that the elevator is only available to owners who pay dues for its use so we were forced to go up and down three flights with our toddler and stroller several times per day. The room was good-sized and clean but noisy because of the constant slamming of the external door to the "suite" of adjacent rooms. There was little in the way of amenities: no frig or microwave, a series of old broken cribs for our little one, and seriously insufficient lighting -- a couple of coiled florescent bulbs above the bed and another nowhere near the sink where it was needed. No lamps anywhere! The buffet breakfast was tasty, if a bit overpriced, but avoid the dining room where the menu is limited, the service slow and the cooking oil smells more toxic than the highest cholesterol chip shop in Manchester! On the good side, the pool and beach are clean and there are both restaurants and shops (cheap souvenir shops and higher-end jewelry and clothes boutiques) just across the street. We're looking forward to our return to Cancun -- just not at Kin Ha.

The hotel is in a perfect location. Staff was very helpful, courteous and friendly. Very nice for the price. It would have been nice to get more than one packet of coffee during our visit even if we did not pay all inclusive. Breakfast was great but could use more variety and waiters. Took long to get coffee refills or anything from waiters as they were busy 2 waiters for everyone. Restaurant on the beach is amazing. The food was great I had grilled chicken yucatan style and it was the best!!!!!! We would stay again.

The experience at this particular hotel was spectacular! The beach was just about as good as it gets! The hotel was clean, spacious, comfortable, and relaxing. We bought a package deal that included a rental car, all inclusive. However, when we went to A_i_ to pick it up, they wanted extra money that amounted to $400 U.S. dollars. We tried to reason with them by informing and demonstrating our all-inclusive rental agreement that was already paid for before we even arrived at Cancun. This seemed to be a standard practice with A_i_ because another person inside the rental car agency lobby had the same problem as well as another person sitting outside the agency. Speaking with other tourists at the hotel and at the beach, our situation was theirs as well. Even though we paid for the car as part of the package in advance, we ended up not getting a rental car and catching a taxi. This costed us the taxi and the rental car. O_bitz should be aware of this situation and take appropriate action.

Hotel facilities very nice, they have a convenience store inside little small ofer but enough for the stay little close the bus stop you can easily get down town and the party zone.

Beautiful beach! Request room close to beach (much quieter) food could use some work.. needs more flavor. I stayed close to beach and it made a world of difference in my sleep.

Wide, uncrowded beach with calm water is the strongest asset of this resort. Grounds are lush and the rooms are clean. The pool is very large. Few of the rooms have a view of the ocean and many are set back quite a ways from beach, but the spacing of the low rise buildings gives the property a relaxed, uncrowded atmosphere. We have stayed there twice now, and would return without any reservation. Room rates vary by vendor, so shop around.

Maybe because it's a tourist resort town we were targeted. Anyway, there was a total of three 30 somethings. The third was added to the room later. In the states we were quoted one thing and when arrived to the hotel it was somethng else. We spent at least 30 minutes of our vacation trying to convience the hotel manager that he was incorrect. Little did we know that "getting over"was a Cancun trend. Cancun is a beautiful place, but you must watch yourself and count your change. Many times we were not given back the correct coins, and had to confront the vend.

There is nothing extraordinary in the hotel. Solid building, ample rooms, everything works. The staff keep everything spotless. The pool is OK. The location is fine. There are shops and restaurants at walking distance or one can take the bus (the hotel is in the hotel zone of Cancun). But the beach is extraordinary. Apparently one of the bests in Cancun. White sand, clear water, wonderful view, a lot of beach seats and shade. We loved our vacation and plan to come back.
