Good location but noisy and bad management.
First, they need to improve their reservation system. I booked the 2 rooms 4 months I advance, I confirmed the reservation to the hotel a few days before arriving, but when I arrived with my family, they only had 1 room left, we had to negotiate during half an hour before getting the 2nd room! Then the rooms are quite noisy, specially those looking at the street (the location is great, the city center, but that mean a lot of traffic and people walking down the windows...) or those close to the reception on the 1st floor. Third, the personnel serving the breakfast doesn't know its job, bringing the bread but no knife or jam (we had to wait 20 min before getting all pieces once they started to serve the 1st part). But then the location was very practical, the hotel very clean, nicely decorated, a quiet patio during the day... It could a great experience if your room is a quiet one and if the hotel didn't loose trace of the reservation!

Great hotel find in a great city find!
Besides Campeche being a UNESCO site, the benefit in staying in a historic building smack in the middle of it all - and for a bargain price - is hard to beat. The great corner location of the hotel also faces a side street currently used as an outdoor art gallery ie. closed of to traffic. Friendly staff even changed our reservation date without any hassle. Wish we had had more time to enjoy!

hotel americano centro evaluation
very well situated clean and tidy internet easily accessible depending on the room situation in the hotel, our room was a liitle noisy at night from the street breakfast included in our package was not much we would return and recommand this hotel Campeche is a very nice city to visit

We stayed at this hotel last year and really enjoyed the ambiance of the hacienda feeling. This time we had a street side room and was kept awake by the constant traffice noise. When traffic slowed down barking dogs began. Be sure to ask for an interior room.

Good value for money
Perfect location in the historical center, near the main square with the cathedral. Beautiful building en nice room. Friendly staff. Breakfast is simple but for the price you pay it's okay. The bathroom did not have any ventilation, but that small detail is the only minus about this hotel.

Actually it's not a dining place, but you should go to Chocola-ha or something (I forgot the exact name) on 59th St. Very relaxed and delicious drinks.

The room was adequate but should have been cleaner. The breakfast was very poor. The continental breakfast was not fresh and was served on a polystyrene plate with plastic cutlery. The weak coffee was also served in a polystyrene cup. I would not use this hotel again.
