Wyndham Cabo San Lucas Resort

We had 3 couples and 1 single lady at the Wyndham for 4 nights. We had to change rooms since we did not get our penthouse suite that was paid for. Pool music is way to loud at the time we wanted to go to the pool. Hotel says there is a new quiet area now, I say them working on it. Seems to be quiet away from pool. Had to request toilet paper in room at least 3 times. The front desk never could get my credit card straight for incidentals, very frustrating. View is great from penthouse, mediocre from other room. Would not stay here again.

We were here in 2011 and liked it so much we returned this past October-November 2012. We found even more to like on this trip. While the hotel is a work-in-progress, it's headed in the right direction. Ask, and it shall be given. Put it in writing, if possible. It's easier to understand English if you can take your time translating to Spanish. The staff are our friends and more loving friends you will never find. I don't want to specifically mention anyone for praise. I did that while I was there. The overall tone is kindness and helpfulness. Don't be rude and be kind too. Hopefully, we will see our Wyndham (Tesoro) friends in 2013.

When you arrive to any touristic hotel the staff tries to give you enough information about hotel amenities right ? Not in this one. For example I never knew the shuttle to the beach schedule or if it was working , or if the pool was in service or not You had to ask about information to several people of the hotel to know the real answer. Even other people were asking to me about how to get information in how to use th keys for the elevators ! or other details in the hotel !!. Staff needs training to do a better informative job of the place of work for anything ! They are nice but need training. Showers and AC need service sometimes no warm water or not cool air !. Room quiet and clean but the bed is somehow no comfortable and TV needs better cable.

I have been visiting San Lucas for ten years and this was the first time I had stayed downtown. The staff were wonderful. I had injured my ankle and the employees were very kind. It's clean and quiet. It's close to the marina and the main street of town. I could easily walk to familiar places with the help of a cane. My husband and I enjoyed the breakfast and drinking our coffee on the patio. You'll be treated the way you treat others. A little kindness goes a long way.

When I arrived at the hotel the service was prompt and quick. I went to my room and the first thing I did was check the internet service. Connection was poor and could not connect at all. I called the front desk and within five minutes they moved me to another room with much better reception and view. I found the people there very helpful and eager to please. I did not spend much time in the hotel but the few hours I was there it was pleasant. My reservation included free breakfast and the selection was varied with plenty of things to choose from. The hotel has a pool on the third floor and access to the beach. Since its located at the marina there are tons of things to do right there. I loved my four days there but do remember this is a three star hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel! the rooms are big (had a junior suite w/ marina view) - nice and updated. however, my outlets weren't working in the bathroom and had to call the front desk 15 times to ask them about fixing it or if I could change rooms. They were very difficult - finally spoke with head manager the next afternoon and he took care of it. Still, didn't make for a good first impression. Staff is friendly, but they don't act quickly to much to say the least. the renovated pool is GREAT! major improvement. it's very updated, has a nice swim up bar, tons of seating, including big beds to lay on. great view of the marina. The free breakfast is nice, nothing too fancy, but plenty of food to start the day. Best thing about this hotel, aside from the price, is the location. you cannot get better than this in Cabo! I never took a cab, you can walk to all bars/restaurants in a very short walk. Water taxis are abundant right outside the hotel - $5 to take you to medano beach, where all the beach bars are. I will definitely be staying here again - best deal in Cabo!!!

Great for budget vacationers in the off-peak season. Not everything in full operation at the time though. Wish they didn't charge so much for internet useage.

Everything was good Went to checkout told we owed 40.00 usd for resturant gratuities? Told them we left cash tips gave them cash tips & they made some calls & it was confirmed.

2 blocks from Cabo Wabo, 5 minutes to the beach, across the street from the Shrimp Factory Restaurant. Beautiful view off the Marina

THE GOOD AND THEN THE BAD: The hotel is a decent one. When you show up, they help you out and get you to your room fairly fast. The floors where the rooms are located, are a maze of hallways and stairs, some of which are not handicap accessible at all. But when you get the the rooms they are comfortable and have tv, a/c, and seem to be well cleaned. The bad thing they did to me was not tell me that the pool is under construction till the middle of august, 2012, so i showed up having to walk all the way to the beach everyday, instead of kicking back poolside. ALSO the most annoying thing about the hotel is that you cannot bring guests to your room, same with most hotels down there, which i find absurd, other than the fact that Cabo may have a "call-girl" problem. I could not believe i could not bring my brother up to my room to hang out for a bit, because he was not staying in the same hotel. Over all the stay was comfortable, but average if not a 2.5 out of 5. I mainly used the hotel as a quick hub for drop-offs and cat-naps. (do not recommend children, bring them to cancun, cabo is an adult town).
