Restaurants set the scene for intimacy, thanks to poolside, terrace and beach tables. Nightly themed dinners, a 31,000-square-foot spa and resort activities complete the experience.Highlights
- All-suite hacienda-inspired hotel overlooking the Sea of Cortez
- Lagoon-style pool and Jacuzzi
- Nightly themed shows, bartending and Spanish lessons
- A 31,000-square-foot spa and fitness center
Rooms
Villa La Estancia Los Cabos embraces Spanish Colonial style in all 156 suites. No more is that evident than in the villas and penthouses, where soaring ceilings, high-end kitchens and expansive wood-heavy living rooms stir drama. A strong palette of earth tones creates warmth in the rooms, while casual furniture -- iron scroll headboards, oversized loungers and large wood media cabinets -- complete the comfortable look. Shiny marble floors complement beige sponge painted walls. Balconies were made for lingering -- each sports chairs to enjoy the Sea of Cortez views.Dining
Villa La Estancia Los Cabos keeps its dining options simple with upscale dining at La Casona, where guests feast on Kobe beef and produce sourced from Miraflores farm on a terrace overlooking Land's End. For casual fare, visitors flock to poolside eatery La Parilla, which sports patio tables shaded by umbrellas. In-villa and private beach dining can also be arranged.Recreation
The 31,000-square foot Desert Spa beckons with a full menu of facials, massages, body treatments, plus a fitness center. Expect to be pampered with natural extracts of agave, melon, noval and lime, along with other fruits and herb ingredients native to the Baja California region.
An activities team at Villa La Estancia Los Cabos keeps guests busy with water volleyball in the lagoon-style pool, bartending lessons, Spanish classes and nightly themed dinners. The staff can also schedule day trips to explore the many diversions in the area, from ATV rentals to luxury yacht charters.

Beautiful Hotel!!
What a beautiful hotel. Right on the beach and has a great pool too. We were there during the down season, so it was very affordable. My wife and I would definitely stay there again if we return to Cabo. It is nice that it not only has a restaurant on the premises, but a grocery store and coffee shop too. The at the restaurant was quite good, but be ready to pay American prices for both the restaurant and the grocery store too. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely Fabulous
This hotel is a high end hotel/resort with a inexpensive price. We could not have been happier with the entire experience. We went with another couple for a five day vacation and wasn't sure what to expect, IT FAR EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS. The food was amazing with beautiful presentation, the pool was crystal clean and had servers all over the place to take your order, rooms were beautiful and luxurious furnishings.

Elegant apartment, not just a hotel room
The one room villa of La Villa Estancia included two side by side room complexes: a full kitchen, living/room, and television/family room complex and a master bedroom/bathroom complex with a balcony bridging both. Partial ocean view. Everything was new, functional, upscale. Not inexpensive, but competitively priced with other premium location properties. Right on the best part of the best beach. The only downside was the constant wanna buy a timeshare sellers and events.

My review of Villa La Estancia Los Cabos
The hotel was very nicely appointed, however, it was also selling units as time shares, and tehrefore we were fairly constantly approached by offers of visiting a dreaded presentaion in order to save some 15% off all hotels services including restaurants. On the other hand, it seems that half of the population of Baja was in Cabo San Lucas there to offer you to attend a presentaion, so the Villa la Estancia was simply no exception. The rooms were very comfortable, good size, room service was very good. The location was quite good - about 15 minutes walk from teh main drag of Cabo San Lucas.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
The hotel resaturants are best avoided - pricey and boring. Head for Peacocks (on expensive side)for fancy food; Mariscos Mazatlan for simple seafod, and Office on the beach for breakfast.

Very Relaxing
La Estancia in Cabo San Lucas was perfect for what we wanted. After we checked we were offered another room (had to add a little bit of money) but it was well worth it. It was a gorgeous 1 bedroom with a jacuzzi and balcony. More than enough room for my boyfriend and I. A gigantic bathroom with 2 sinks and a kitchen. The pool was nice and the beach even better. The buffet breakfast very good but NOT cheap. All in all a great 5 days. Mexico is not what it used to be in cost. Cabo is very expensive. Not what I remember. The restaurants are US prices. Anyone staying at La Estancia can use the two properties next door. Both have great pools both kid friendly and one has an incredible spa. Highly recommedend that.

Exceptional Property
Beautiful resort! On my list of resorts/places to visit a least once a year. The staff, property, accomodations, amenities, activities and food, just to name a few things, were ALL exceptional. Close proximity to other nice resorts, downtown area, the marina and Wal-Mart (smile). The only disappointing thing, was when it was time to leave.

A Good Mix
This resort has nice clean rooms that are nicely decorated. The grounds and pools are well maintained and the location is good mix of close to the activity of Medano beach yet not in the middle of it. The Marina is a 20 minute beach walk passing by the heart of Medano beach that has abundant watersports activities, beach party bars as well as a few decent beach retruants like the Office. The hotel is a mix of regular hotel rooms and timeshares but we found the pressure minimal. If you make it clear you're not interested they leave you alone. There are tennis courts, a workout room, and a good morning coffee shop with sandwiches and internet service. You can book excursions and get dinner reservations through staff as well. You may want to drive 5 minutes to the local Walmart to stock up on on snack food or liquor as we found pool area prices for drinks or lunch expensive for the quality at the hotel. There are meal plans but the are very pricy for what food we experienced. The beach has a nice view across the bay to Lands End but most on the beach do. You can get a roundtrip water taxi from the hotel to Lands End's Arch & Lover's beach for <$20/person per person. While the reefs are not up to Carribean standards, Lands End does offer an interesting 2 tank SCUBA dive with sea lions from the local colony being the main attraction. Beach vendors are kept out of the resort but may hastle you if you sunbathe near the edge of the property. Having passed by several other properties we felt this one offered a good mix of quality and location. We enjoyed our stay and would definately return again.

Not Applicable
I suggest a car as its cheaper than airport transfers and taxis to downtown often (Cabo Wabo or Squid Row nightclubs, Mi Casa or Edith's restraunt, etc).

Mostly good experience
Nice accomondations and amenities. They have a game they play to get you to upgrade to a two bedroom villa for $100/day. They located our two delux room on different floors and different wings of the motel with no view of the Ocean and little view of the garden.

Best Location
The Villa La Estancia was in a perfect location; beautiful beach and within walking distance (street side) to town (10-15 minutes). A walk on the beach is a little longer, but not too bad (20-30 minutes). The grounds were beautiful. Check in is a little weird as there is no check-in counter just people sitting behind desks. We were asked one time about attending a 90-minute presentation. But we just said no thanks, and that was it. The bed and pillows were not very comfortable, but after a day of beach, sun, and fun, it didn't really interfere too much with sleep. This is a very quiet, very beautiful property. I can't wait to go back.
