Staying on Marina

Would recommend Thu, Nov 19, 2015
We had a fun and relaxing trip. Hotel has the best view of the Marina going out to the Pacific Ocean. We had a junior suite with a king bed though it didn't have a kitchenette which we could have used. We had a nice breakfast everyday that was included in our room price. Some great restaurants like Capt. Tony's and Soloman's Landing right below the hotel to try on the Marina.

Once in a lifetime trip for mom and daughter

Would not recommend Mon, Nov 16, 2015
The hotel was antiquated and most of the staff had limited English. Renovation of the pool area was nice and where we spent most of our time. Our room was terrible. Located over all the carbines for the entire resort and it was very loud. The safe in the room did not work. The toilet overflowed and would not flush. Housekeeping did not show up a couple of times and we had to call the front desk. The supposed minibar did not exist other than a coffee pot with coffee. There was no way to regulate the AC other than shutting it off. Breakfast was a buffet and generally good except for all the bees and my daughter was stung while eating breakfast. What made our stay stay special was a member of the pool staff Lenin, who was outstanding. The resort also makes everyone wear a plastic bracelet for the entire stay. The bracelet will scratch and cut into your arms.

Great Location for the Price

Would recommend Tue, Nov 3, 2015
We have stayed here the last couple of years and this year we had a better experience with the front desk and the wifi than last year. We reserved a deluxe king and were put in room 383 which has a great view of the boats and activity. It is not directly over the pool so it was much quieter than the room we had last year which was in another building and was closer to the pool. However, the room seemed a little smaller than last year's room but was still adequate. A downside of the rooms we've had is the stairs required to reach the room. There are elevators that take you to your floor, but the room itself is up a flight of stairs that have no hand rail. This might be a problem for people with balance issues (we are 62 & 71 so that is beginning to become an issue) we used a bellboy for both ways to avoid having to lug our 50lb suitcases up & down the stairs. They do have rooms that don't have the stairs but I've not seen inside them to see if they are any different than what we've had. The wifi seemed better than last year we purchased the $7/day which allows 2 devices and it was fine for checking emails and worked well in our room. They also had a basic plan for $11 for 3 days and more expensive plans if you needed more GB to watch videos, etc. the breakfast is still very nice, in a nice location overlooking the harbour. Check-in and check-out went well this time last year we argued over a $10 charge that wasn't ours and they wouldn't remove it (they charged us twice for wifi). No problems with them this year. For the price (we got a great price through Orbiz) you can't beat this location. Also the cleanliness is important to us & we were happy with how the rooms are maintained.

Awesome Spring Break Adventure

Would recommend Sun, Sep 6, 2015
We really liked this hotel. After reading mixed reviews from horrible to excellent and everywhere in between I was skeptical at best. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Upon arrival in Cabo we drove to the hotel, about 45 minutes from the airport, and were greeted by a very friendly staff willing to assist in anyway possible. We had a deluxe marina view room and our package included the breakfast buffet. The view from our room was AMAZING!!!! We were originally put in a room near the elevator but I went back to reception to request a room further away ... GREAT CHOICE on our part! I don't remember the room number but I think it was in the 300's or possibly the 400's. Breakfast each day was very good with fresh fruit, yogurt, made to order omelettes, fresh jugo (juice), and many local favorites. We tried everything and liked it all. The hotel is right on the boardwalk of the marina so there is lots of boat activity. All excursions can be booked right outside the hotel. No need to use the concierge service whose prices were a bit higher than anything we negotiated. The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable and included a small refrigerator. I would definitely stay here again. Between the view of the marina, the view of the arch and the location this was perfect for us. My son (18 y/o) and I highly recommend Day Sail Cabo for a lovely afternoon of sailing the Pacific Ocean and Sea of Cortez. Capt. Bob and Yeonok and awesome hosts.

Girls Weekend

Would recommend Thu, Aug 27, 2015
Went with a friend, the hotel is ok had a great getaway weekend at the perfect location and at a walking distance from downtown and attractive bars - which was what we were looking for. A cheap boat ride away from the rest of Cabo's attractions. Not a 4 or 5-star hotel, but for the rate you'd be a fool to expect that. The view is amazing with the marina. For activities, unless you find a great price beforehand I'd say it's better to negotiate in the spot, just know who looks fishy and not. The marina is safe, as well as the hotel, although they turn some lights off on some wings, which was weird. There are boats of all sizes in the marina loading people almost every hour, you can arrange drop off and pick up. We took to a small boat chartered by friendly locals we found most helpful, at a great price, they're at a small office beside the marina store. They also had for a lot of activities which we enjoyed and when we were hotel hopping, the ME has a great club and there are attractions there too, just a little more overpriced. Everything was clean in the room, which is what matters most, I think. Breakfast was good too. We got double beds, and they were comfortable. Wi-Fi service helped with the not getting roaming charges and keeping in touch. Bring Sunblock! It's way expensive to get it there. Look out for people selling you a FREE meal or tour, we almost got suckered by a Russian guy who claimed to be an Alamo rent a car sales rep, two blocks away from the hotel - which is where the main bars are. To this date, I don't really think that was his day job. Just remember, if it's free, it MUST have a catch!

summer vacation

Would recommend Wed, Aug 12, 2015
I've stayed here many times because it's right downtown. It's about a 20 minute walk to Medano beach, but you can also take a water taxi. The buffet breakfast is good and the gym is also convenient. The staff have always been great and seem to do what they can to answer any questions. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable. The only issue I have is the Internet service because you have to pay for it and it's not always working well.
