Solmar Resort - All Inclusive

The staff was friendly, the food tasty, and location wonderful. I don't have a negative thing to say about our five day stay. HIGHLY recommended to anyone who wants to visit Cabo San Lucas.

I had an amazing experience, the staff was great. Just a few minutes away from the marina. The view and private beach incredible! I would definitely recommend.

We loved the Pacific side of Cabo. The Solmar was mostly couples with a few babies, but no small children. That made for a quiet, relaxing setting. The room was spacious, very clean. Some staff members, Alejandro especially, were excellent. Food was fine. We liked being able to walk into town. The marina was beautiful. The Solmar was very well kept, but not a luxury resort....no polished marble and grand pianos. It was low key and comfortable. I definitely recommend it.

What a great weekend. I arrived at the Solmar which is a lovely spot in Cabo. Then I was upgrade to the sister property at the Playa Grande and was able to have the amenities from both resorts. Don't I wish I had been able to stay longer. The hotel staff was fabulous, the room gorgeous and I fell asleep each night listening to the ocean. Would go back to either property in a heartbeat. A beautiful location and resort. You can tell it was a 5-start resort when it was built back in the 80s. It's still really nice now, and while it doesn't have the modern resort look and feel, it does have its nice old charm. The staff is super friendly and the food is really good. I've never had such fresh and delicious chicken salad! It's a secluded beach and resort, so you don't have to worry about people always haggling you to buy stuff. Although when you first check-in they offer you a timeshare presentation in exchange for freebies. We did it. It was nice to see their sister resorts, right next door, The Grand Solmar [built within the last decade] and Playa Grande [built in the 90s]. Both 5-star resorts, with the Grand being the most modern. Even if you don't do the timeshare you can still check them both out. Because the Grand is literally right next door. And the shuttle will take you to the Playa Grande because certain amenities are included with your all-inclusive package at the Solmar; ie. gym. The location is perfect because it's right on a secluded beach. Get a room with an ocean view, you'll thank me later! It was nice waking up every morning to the beach and ocean.

We had a great trip and the Solmar Resort is beautiful! The staff treated us well. We especially want to thank the head waiter, Ernesto for making us feel like part of his family! He went over and above to show us a good time and give us a dining experience that we will always remember!

Only complaint was that the pool aerobics instructor was too loud! So I just moved to the beach! Solmar is an amazing resort. Everyone is so friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. The views are spectacular and the sound of the crashing waves so mezmerizing. I will definitely be back.

For our first time there, it was amazing. Hotel staff was very friendly, and accommodating. Beware of timeshare pitches, and taxi and excursion salesmen.

We were very happy with location walking distance to town restaurants, access to Playa Grande Tennis Fitness room, and pool etc. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. construction noise is present but didnt spoil our trip. Ocean view suite room was great had separate room with pull out sofa and separate bathroom, kitchen, closet space , balconies with great views,very clean. Pool atmosphere is quiet no crazy party people and at night very quiet and peaceful. good for families. But we did all inclusive and the food was awful, we are not big drinkers so probably better to not do all inclusive. also no swimming at the beach due to rough COLD pacific ocean but that is the case for most of Cabo.

Great location, staff very good. Quiet location, I would stay there again.
