Amazing vacation at a super value!
This was my second trip to Hacienda del Mar, and it actually surpassed the first one. The landscaping and scenery is beautiful, with multiple pools to choose from all overlooking the beautiful crystal blue ocean. The rooms are very nice, with a hot tub in each room. The food is outstanding and the staff is as friendly as they come - I don't think I had an empty glass or beer bottle on my table for more than 10 seconds before somebody rushed over to take it away and ask me if I'd like another. Great service at the pool as well, we had lunch there every day. If you like to relax with a frozen drink in your hand while you watch the waves crash in front of you - this is your next vacation!

Absolutely get the all-inclusive plan! My girlfriend and I estimated that we saved over $1,200, and you have peace of mind knowing that just about anything you order will be covered. It includes dining at just about anywhere you'd eat on site, and a great list of premium alcohol is covered - not just house brands, but brands you'd drink at home. It also includes free wireless internet, room service, and the mini bar! The restaurants and drinks are expensive so it's a no-brainer, it started paying for itself in just 3 days.

July 4th Getaway
Went there for a wedding. 45 of us from the midwest stayed at the Sheraton, and it was like a big adult day camp with all of our best friends. Everything and everyone were accomodating, and perfect.

Awesome resort, highly recommend!
awesome resort! did the all inclusive. typically against all inclusive pkgs, but this resort single handedly changed my view. food was very, VERY good. a few things that could have been better, but overall, some of the best hotel food i've ever had. i travel a lot and eat out a lot. this hotel made me not want to eat anywhere else. plenty of options within the resort. if you can get the all inclusive, do it.

Great price and accommodations
Accommodations and staff were great. Room was beautiful and restaurants were fabulous. The view was breathtaking with infinity pools with water falls, just super. The price was great for the package deal, however, my luggage was lost, and it was due to neglect with the shuttle service. My freind and I had our luggage until getting on the shuttle going to our hotel. So, when arriving at hotel, my luggage was nowhere to be found. The hotel staff was highly accommodating in communicating to me the status and it was at 9:00AM that we were told, my luggage was found. I had to go back to the airport to pick up my lost luggage; apparently they brought back my luggage from the curbside-waiting for the shuttle-and put it back on the carousel. It was the neglect of the gentleman who was a Greylines person, while he was coordinating with the shuttle and their passengers. He neglected to put my luggage on the van. It cost me an extra $50.00 for me to go by taxi to the airport and tip one way. Fortunately, coming back was free with Grey Lines shuttle. They did this, but reluctantly...and then another $5.00 tip. But the hotel, I would recommend to anyone. It was fantastic.

Fantastic
We stayed Thursday through Wednesday and wished we could have been there longer! The hotel was amazing and the service was excellent! Costco is a short trip to town if you need groceries. We wont even look for another place to stay when we go back we'll be staying there again. The beach is very private and great for lounging, but not safe for swimming. We felt no need to go in the ocean though with all the pools there are. The weekend was obviously more crowded. Next time we go we'll stay Monday thru Friday and bring our 3 kids! The food at the hotel is a little pricey, but tastes amazing. Our favorite was the crepas pablanas. We are even considering getting a time share there. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice Hotel and Resort
The resort was very nice and the service was very good. We bought an all inclusive package after reading about how expensive the food is at the resort. It was worth it and I would recommend it if you plan to stay at the resort for meals and lounge at the pool with cocktails. The pool was SO cold and many people complained about it. Our hotel room was nice and comfortable however the room walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that goes on above you. If you stay here insist on a top floor room otherwise you will be disrputed by flushing toilets, other vacation noises and loud TV's. That really is my only complaint. The location is nice and the beach is very pretty. I would go back again but only if we stayed on a top floor room.
