Family Vacation

Everything was fairly average for an all-inclusive. Food was good, but service was less than average. Was disappointed that we couldn't swim on this beachfront hotel. We may as well have stayed somewhere more inland than paying more for a beach we couldn't use. Rooms were really dated, beds weren't comfortable, kitchenette was dirty.

Beaches are all detached in this area, can't swim near this area unless you take a cab or water taxi to small beaches full of locals and vendors.

Had a wonderful time at Sandos!!

I had never been at a Sandos resort before and I was so impressed. The views were spectacular and it was centrally located. We didn't have to rent a car or use the bus. The resort is beautiful and we loved having everything included. I thought it was so cool that they have entertainment at night! I would definately go again!

Fun, fun, fun!

My husband and I just returned from Sandos Finisterra yesterday. Checking in: We arrived our first day around 1:45 p.m. and our room was not ready until 3. However, we got our wristbands so we could go eat, etc. First though, they sent us to talk to their "concierge." This was a 10 minute sit down that started with helpful info about the hotel, but we were then invited to a 90 minute breakfast presentation about their "club," aka timeshare. The incentive was 2 free massages, but we turned it down. Luckily after saying "no" a few times, she let us go without too much pressure. The positives: We loved the location of the hotel, as the Marina is just across the street from the hotel entrance. We walked to the Marina each day and even walked to Medano Beach (the only beach in Cabo where you can actually swim) on one of the days. It stormed during the morning of our second day, but cleared up by 10 a.m. It was actually nice because it cooled down a bit. (The heat and humidity is a bit of a shock to the system when you first arrive.) We had mostly great food at the hotel. I loved that endless amounts of guacamole and chips were usually available at the buffet and always available in the Mexican restaurant by the pool. The lattes at the Cupcake Cafe were very good. The bread and desserts were very good at the Italian restaurant and the dinner was pretty good. The AC in the room was awesome! The shows were entertaining and fun. The view from almost every location in the hotel was amazing. All hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Most staff members were very fluent in English. There were always enough lounge chairs by the pools to be able to find a spot, which I have not found to be true in my past experiences at other hotels in Cabo or Hawaii. Needs Improvement:The drinks were made differently at each bar, but were mostly good. The fruit margaritas at Tortuga Beach were horrible on Wednesday night during the show there. I was not impressed by the food during our first visit to the buffet. I think there may have been less to offer since it was 2 p.m. Also, the buffet has some outdoor seating, which means doors are left open. This allowed bugs to come in and they were flying around and landing on some of the food. This seemed to improve greatly over our next few days, however. Overall, our visit to Sandos Finisterra was a lot of fun and we would go back again. I would definitely, definitley recommend booking an all-inclusive for your stay in Cabo. We had one lunch out on the beach. We each had one drink, guac and chips, my hubby had enchiladas and I had a taco dinner and the total was $69 US. I can only imagine how much we would have spent on food and drinks without the all-inclusive.

If you are at the hotel on a Friday, go to the White Party, even if you do not have any white to wear. The show was awesome!

Stayed here after reading the reviews of others, best word to describe it would be average! Front desk service is not very helpful or nice. After checking into my room i noticed there was mold growing on ceiling of the room I then notified maintenance who then came back three times before calling me back and telling me that my A/C worked fine. That was not even the issue i had but didn't feel like letting it ruin my trip so I gave up. The pool service is great and the drinks are good but the food i thought was just OK, not much variety in the menu. One pro is the location to the marina.

Great spot

We had a great stay here. Rooms were decent (you're not supposed to hang out there all day anyway), beds were comfortable and balcony was nice. Food was good, pool was nice, and location to the marina and downtown couldn't have been better.

The Food

Never had a good meal, well maybe the restaurant next to swim up bar, that was the only one that you might get an ok meal , the buffet was bad all the time. don't eat at the Italian restaurant, BAD ! BAD! BAD ! They have a coffee shop that make GOOD coffee drinks and it's call The Cup Cake, good service and great pastries. But you are next to the marina and their are lots of good food choices, and it's with in a walking distance, and lots of things to do.
