Super location

The friendliness and cooperative spirit of this hotel is remarkable. The staff goes out of their way to assure you are having a good trip. The rooms are a bit above average and very clean. The mattresses are good. I have been in more expensive hotels and had a back ache for day from the beds! Not here, however. I experienced a situation upon arriving at the airport from one of the 'time share' people. I explained the situation to the Consierge staff who went out of their way to get the situation resolved for me......The selection of food in the main restaurant is quite good....and tasty......the pool restaurant is also well above average......Emilianos, the 'gourmet' restaurant is very, very good.......tasty food and lovely presentation. The only complaint that I could think of is that at times the music at the pool is quite noisy...

Great Location and Hotel Look

My wife and I came to Los Cabos at Sandos Finisterra for a four day getaway and it was better that expected. We saw many hotels when we dropped off people in the shuttle and our hotel by far looked the best. It was secure and had a guard at the driveway. When went up the hilly driveway, we were stunned at how well built this hotel was. The staff was friendly as we were greeted with champagne in the lobby the minute we arrived. The pools were clean but i think they needed a few more umbrellas for sun coverage. The beach was private but were not allowed to swim on the Pacific side. We were still able to relax and it was really clean. The beach views and dessert mountain views from the beach were spectacular! The food was pretty good and as expected not authentic at all. I was hoping they served Mexican food. The best part of this hotel was Cupcake, a coffee bar that is part of the inclusive package. I will not lie when i say my wife and I were in there at least four times a day ordering Iced Mocha's that were extremely delicious. The pool closed a little too early and the pool bar service closed even earlier. We were hoping we could take late night swims with bar service but that was not possible. My only complaint was that they push the timeshare presentation every day. They provide deals on excursions if you are willing to take a 90 minute presentation. Not only at the hotel but at the bottom of the driveway of the hotel. It was getting annoying rather fast and really hard to avoid. Besides that we were really satisfied and made my wife super happy which made me happy. Thanks Sandos for a fantastic and relaxing time. We will for sure visit again.

If you have never swam with dolphins, you should definitely go across the street and try it! If you are willing, Sandos will provide a discount if you take the timeshare presentation.

This is a four star hotel not a three star.

Family Vacation

Everything was fairly average for an all-inclusive. Food was good, but service was less than average. Was disappointed that we couldn't swim on this beachfront hotel. We may as well have stayed somewhere more inland than paying more for a beach we couldn't use. Rooms were really dated, beds weren't comfortable, kitchenette was dirty.

Beaches are all detached in this area, can't swim near this area unless you take a cab or water taxi to small beaches full of locals and vendors.

Had a wonderful time at Sandos!!

I had never been at a Sandos resort before and I was so impressed. The views were spectacular and it was centrally located. We didn't have to rent a car or use the bus. The resort is beautiful and we loved having everything included. I thought it was so cool that they have entertainment at night! I would definately go again!

Fun, fun, fun!

My husband and I just returned from Sandos Finisterra yesterday. Checking in: We arrived our first day around 1:45 p.m. and our room was not ready until 3. However, we got our wristbands so we could go eat, etc. First though, they sent us to talk to their "concierge." This was a 10 minute sit down that started with helpful info about the hotel, but we were then invited to a 90 minute breakfast presentation about their "club," aka timeshare. The incentive was 2 free massages, but we turned it down. Luckily after saying "no" a few times, she let us go without too much pressure. The positives: We loved the location of the hotel, as the Marina is just across the street from the hotel entrance. We walked to the Marina each day and even walked to Medano Beach (the only beach in Cabo where you can actually swim) on one of the days. It stormed during the morning of our second day, but cleared up by 10 a.m. It was actually nice because it cooled down a bit. (The heat and humidity is a bit of a shock to the system when you first arrive.) We had mostly great food at the hotel. I loved that endless amounts of guacamole and chips were usually available at the buffet and always available in the Mexican restaurant by the pool. The lattes at the Cupcake Cafe were very good. The bread and desserts were very good at the Italian restaurant and the dinner was pretty good. The AC in the room was awesome! The shows were entertaining and fun. The view from almost every location in the hotel was amazing. All hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Most staff members were very fluent in English. There were always enough lounge chairs by the pools to be able to find a spot, which I have not found to be true in my past experiences at other hotels in Cabo or Hawaii. Needs Improvement:The drinks were made differently at each bar, but were mostly good. The fruit margaritas at Tortuga Beach were horrible on Wednesday night during the show there. I was not impressed by the food during our first visit to the buffet. I think there may have been less to offer since it was 2 p.m. Also, the buffet has some outdoor seating, which means doors are left open. This allowed bugs to come in and they were flying around and landing on some of the food. This seemed to improve greatly over our next few days, however. Overall, our visit to Sandos Finisterra was a lot of fun and we would go back again. I would definitely, definitley recommend booking an all-inclusive for your stay in Cabo. We had one lunch out on the beach. We each had one drink, guac and chips, my hubby had enchiladas and I had a taco dinner and the total was $69 US. I can only imagine how much we would have spent on food and drinks without the all-inclusive.

If you are at the hotel on a Friday, go to the White Party, even if you do not have any white to wear. The show was awesome!

Stayed here after reading the reviews of others, best word to describe it would be average! Front desk service is not very helpful or nice. After checking into my room i noticed there was mold growing on ceiling of the room I then notified maintenance who then came back three times before calling me back and telling me that my A/C worked fine. That was not even the issue i had but didn't feel like letting it ruin my trip so I gave up. The pool service is great and the drinks are good but the food i thought was just OK, not much variety in the menu. One pro is the location to the marina.
