Relaxing and Fun

Our honeymoon was awesome and this hotel made it very enjoyable. The location was awesome. It was very convenient to be able to walk to downtown Cabo for dinner or to go to the shops. The staff was overall friendly and the service around the pool was attentive. The hotel has daily activities in and around the pool area which was very entertaining. The beach was pretty, but the locals trying to sell stuff too you was a little annoying. This made us camp out around the pool most days instead of on the beach. The food at the hotel restaurant and bar was satisfactory but nothing special. Also, the concierge was very helpful in locating good alternate places to eat while we were there.

Great Hotel, Great Location

Location on Medano Beach, a swimmable beach, unlike many others in Cabo. Any activities we wanted to do, whether on land or water, could be booked at the hotel, and picked us up at the hotel or within a 1 minute walk down the beach. Got a Mai Tai and a Strawberry Daquiri and both were horrible. The peep hole was missing from our door, so there was a small hole which we stuffed with tissue. Besides that the service was great and you cannot beat the views, grounds, etc.

Nice Property Good Location

The Pueblo Bonito Rose is a very nice property. The rooms are clean & very big with a small kitchenette which is very convenient for heating up food or having a cold drink. You are also allowed access the hotel's other 3 properties which is a plus. This hotel location is ideal to anyone who wants to be close to the downtown area. You can walk there in about 10 minutes. If you do not want to be around the town and want peace and quiet stay at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. I definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great location

The Pueblo Bonito Rose is well maintained and the rooms are a nice size. Very comfortable and clean. We had a slight electrical problem (something to do with the fuse box) but nothing to lose sleep over. The maintenance personnel were prompt although they did have to be called a couple of times. This hotel is in an ideal location. Just a short walk to downtown Cabo San Lucas and several good restaurants. You can walk down the beach to a fun restaurant called The Office. Great breakfast and happy hour! Just a little farther down the beach is another excellent restaurant called Edith's.

Honeymoon week

The hotel is very clean and the grounds were perfect. The pool fills up fast in the morning and there are limited chairs. The beach is clean and the water is perfect. However there are many "beach vendors" selling junk and they pester you constantly !!! We decided to walk down to the public area of the beach near the harbor. It was much more private and no vendors to deal with. The air conditioner did not work at all. It makes noise and blows air but not cold at all. We just left the doors open and the breeze was good enough.

Great hotel but watch out for scamming staff

Pros: Great hotel and location. We had a great vacation. All staff is absolutely great! Cons: I paid a $100 deposit for the Fishing Trip at the hotel activities center. On the following 2 days the activity center was closed, my trip never happened, I did not get my deposit back. The staff manager (Carlos) said that he will follow up with me via email and will resolve the issue but 4 days later there is still no email... Overall: I will come back again, but will be careful buying activity packages even if they are from the hotel activity center.

Great location, close to town

This was our fourth stay at the Rose. It provides nice accommodations but is starting to show its age. Beds are small and not very comfortable. Location is ideal with many restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Pool area is nice for relaxing and service was very good. Will consider for trip number five but may look at other options.

Great Location but Unorganized

This hotel definitely has one of the best locations in Cabo. You are right on the beach and within walking distance to everything. The rooms are nice and the pool is beautiful as well. As far as food goes the main restaurants food is just okay but go up to Felinis for dinner and it is incredible. The major downfall is how this hotel is run. They lost our dinner reservations several times forcing us to constantly adjust our plans. The Sushi bar is supposed to be open from 10am until 11pm but Sushi is only served from 2pm until they decide to stop which changed regularly. Then on the beach the staff was constantly taking people's chairs and giving them to those who had complained more, even if those people were just down swimming. Overall we had a great experience but don't expect quality service.

will stay somewhere else next time

The advertising indicated a gym for this hotel which is the reason we chose it but once we arrived we were told that it would be 15 per person per day. Drinks were horrible, made of refined sugar and fat and over charged. Hotel guests were made up of beached whales in their 50's and 60's that could hardly waddle from one end of the complex to another and we were bombarded by loud music and time share and "activities" hosts. On the more positive side the one buffet dinner we ate there as actually very good with fresh veggies and salads. The grounds were also attractive. For the most part, however we did not feel like guests. We did not accept the all inclusive package and were overcharged exhorbitant fees for every possible reason. In return we made a point of supporting local MEXICAN restaurants and businesses. In comparison our 2 vacations at the Excellence hotels near Playa del Carmen were far superior.

Walk into Cabos and North of downtown and get into the mileau. Take a chance and try some of the local restaurants. The patrons are much more genuinely happy to have the business
