Los Cabos hotel shines with free-form pools and private beachside bliss
Pueblo Bonito Rose pours on tropical luxury in every corner, from the illuminated, palm-tree lined outdoor pools to the private, furnished balconies overlooking El Medano Beach. The scenery steals the show, especially in the grand lobby, where 350-year-old Flemish tapestries build the drama of being on vacation. Multiple restaurants, a busy activities roster and full-service spa prove that yes indeed, it is time to relax.
Highlights
  • Large free-form pool that leads to El Medano Beach
  • Find 260 suites overlooking the ocean or garden
  • Free shuttle to and from Pueblo Bonito Sunset, a sister hotel
  • Full-service spa and beauty salon
  • Multiple restaurants and private candlelit dinners on the beach
Rooms
Pueblo Bonito Rose rooms conjure casual oceanfront style with wicker furniture, warm bedding and tropical plants. Guests choose from junior suites or luxury suites equipped with kitchenettes. Furnished balconies beckon with prime vantage points for soaking in views of the ocean or garden. Comforts like a pillow menu, free satellite TV and high-speed Internet access are welcome conveniences. For an extra fee, visitors can also request babysitting services or massages in the room.
Dining

At Mare Nostrum, guests indulge in buffets coupled with ocean vistas on Sundays and Mondays, along with live entertainment on some nights. Sunsets & Sushi Bar lives up to its name, dishing up inventive rolls, cocktails and outdoor. Finally, at Fellini's Ristorante, patrons savor thin-crust pizzas, fresh pasta and juicy meats in an upscale casual setting.
Recreation

Majestic palm trees create a stunning canopy by the large outdoor pools that seem to snake into the Pacific Ocean. There, visitors soak up rays on poolside loungers or take in the sparkling lights illuminating the white hotel buildings at night.

Spa at the Rose, named as one of the top 10 hotel spas by Travel + Leisure readers, offers a full menu of facials, massages and body treatments. For beauty tune-ups, guests book nail and hair services at the attached beauty salon. A fitness center enables patrons to stick to their workout routine.

Nightmare

If you like lot's of noise and drinking, you might like this place. My wife and I thought it was terrible. This is a 3 star hotel at best. Also, the rooms are time-shares and non-time share holders seem to be discriminated against. Not good at all.

Great Vacation!!

Our experience at this hotel was fabulous. The staff especially Gerado, Roberto and Pedro made sure we were well taken care of and they were always polite and smiling. We have been there before and that is the reason we went back. The company did a great job in arranging everything and keeping us informed of our flights.

Honeymoon week

The hotel is very clean and the grounds were perfect. The pool fills up fast in the morning and there are limited chairs. The beach is clean and the water is perfect. However there are many "beach vendors" selling junk and they pester you constantly !!! We decided to walk down to the public area of the beach near the harbor. It was much more private and no vendors to deal with. The air conditioner did not work at all. It makes noise and blows air but not cold at all. We just left the doors open and the breeze was good enough.

Rose at Medano,

Very pleasant hotel., Clean, spacious court yard and pool area, very friendly staff. Good food. Perfect location. Minuses would include limited ocean view and annoying vendors waiting to sell you things you don't need just as you step out to the beach. Overall, we had a good time.,

There is a short walk to the marina and plaza "paraiso" - where food variety obviously beats the hotel. Surroundings are vey safe where you can let the kids loose and not worry about it. Your evening may be very pleasantly spent browsing through the shops, watching sports or music video in a gorgeous open bar or just walk around the marina wishing the night would never end.

some dishonest staff

Great hotel, location, amenities but some issues with staff trying to sell activity packages and pocket the money. Staff manager promised me to resolve an issue that involved returning a $100 deposit to me and send me an email on the resolution but a week has passed and no word and no response on my follow up emails.

Great hotel but watch out for scamming staff

Pros: Great hotel and location. We had a great vacation. All staff is absolutely great! Cons: I paid a $100 deposit for the Fishing Trip at the hotel activities center. On the following 2 days the activity center was closed, my trip never happened, I did not get my deposit back. The staff manager (Carlos) said that he will follow up with me via email and will resolve the issue but 4 days later there is still no email... Overall: I will come back again, but will be careful buying activity packages even if they are from the hotel activity center.

Great Vacation - Go for the All inclusive!! Beautiful Spa

My girlfriends and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and had an amazing time. The entire property was well kept, very clean and beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful, all spoke some amount of English, so communication was easy. The Spa was beautiful and very affordable. We all signed up for a package deal and received 3 treatments for $75 each. That allowed us access to all of the spa amenities (including a great/clean/well equipped) gym, sauna, hot tubs, and showers. We went for the all inclusive package at the hotel which provided all food and drinks (including alcohol) and we feel that it was well worth it. The all inclusive package also allowed access to two other related properties. It really was a great trip.

Pueblo Bonito Rose

It was very clean, nice, and calm. I would honestly recommend to buy the all inclusive package when going otherwise, you would be paying a small fourtune for food. Other than that it was awesome, I traveled with my husband and 2 kids and the staff were just super nice and accomodating!!

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Do not buy any jewelry from hotels in mexico, find the closest street shops, because you can makes deals with venders, not with hotel chains. Also do not believe stories of authenticity, go with your gut instinct.
