Great ALL Adult Resort

Pueblo pacifica is a very nice well kept resort. the staff was more than willing to do anything necessary to make our stay enjoyable. The location is the last resort in Cabo San Lucas and is on the pacific side. so, if swimming in the ocean is a must than this is not the resort for you. There is no swimming allowed on the pacific side. this was not an issue for us. as far as location it is a short taxi ride to the heart of Cabo or you can catch one of Pueblo Bonitas shuttles to The Rose resort which is in the heart of Cabo. Dining at Pacifica was first class and very professional. if by chance you do not want to eat there the other 3 Pueblo Bonita resorts are also on your list of all inclusive. If there is one draw back that i didnt like it is the fact that the resort, at check in, submits you to a high pressure sales pitch for a time share. as a matter of fact you cannot skip this step as you will not get your all inclusive wrist band until you listen to the sales pitch. and yes it is high pressure. it takes about 10 minutes for that portion and you do not have to sign up for anything, i just didnt feel it was right for the hotel staff to promote it so heavily. all in all it was a wonderful experience and i would certainly stay there again

A great couples all inclusive resort

First it was rough getting a handicap accessible room. Booked handicap accessible room through here then later called the hotel and they knew nothing of this nor did the plane. Upon getting to hotel they once again knew nothing about handicap accessible room. Weird how i called hotel 3 days prior and they have no notes of it. Once there it was a nice overall experience. 50% occupancy rate or so in august. Mostly couples average aged 40 years old. Pool was a great temperature unlimited drinks unlimited food was great. Staff very friendly. I recommend getting private transportation ($95-110USD per vehicle) from airport as shuttle ($45 per person) stops at all the sister properties before coming to pacifica. Shuttles are also not handicap accessible. There are a couple other sister properties you have free transportation access to and the all inclusive follows you. i went to was sunset which is very big and spread out more of a party scene. But not quite as a party scene as the rose. I had no problem booking and procuring the fancier 2 restaurants (siempre & pescado) at the resort as you have to ahead of time. I often hear of other all inclusive spots where you can't ever get reservations at the restaurants because they get booked up too early in the morning but this was not the case here. You could book 1 hour prior with success. I was worried about the wind before visiting but upon getting there never found it to be an issue. It was a nice 88-91F peak temperature during the day with humidity. Hardly any mosquitoes around which is great. You however cannot enter the ocean as the waves are too strong and security will approach you if you attempt. You are also very safe at the site. Plus you go through several security checkpoints. The site is wrapped around 1,000,000+ USD houses all around the resort.

Great hotel

This hotel was amazing and we had a great time. Food was good quality and staff was very helpful. Would definitely go back! Only bad thing was the shuttle to the hotel takes forever because this is the last resort to get dropped off. Pay the extra money for the private shuttle.

It was nice, one of the better places in Cabo

I have stayed at a few all inclusive places and this one ranks right in the middle. Positives: New and clean resort Most of the employees were nice and eager to help, some were not. Siempra and Sushi restaurant was delicious. Apolo was the greatest, highly entertaining and friendly bartender who also ran a few activities. Spa is nice although pricey. Not too many people which made it nice to get a pool side chair or reservation but maybe we picked a good time to travel. Away from everything I hate about Mexico (vendors, noise, crowds and locals) Weather is great. It's in the pacific side so the humidity is not as bad and you get a nice breeze. Negatives At checkin they ask you to take part of a timeshare presentation. Not ALL inclusive, if you want some higher food and too shelf liquor then you have to pay a premium. Expect to tip or be ignored. Most all inclusive have a "no tip policy", not the case here. Most bartenders ignore you if you forgot your cash in your room or don't want to swim with it. Small. We experienced everything the resort had to offer in one day. Gym is small Rooms are small Buffet is average at best. You have to pay for prime beds on the ocean. Construction, they were expanding the spa so we heard jack hammers and banging all day, they just started on 8/8/2014 so beware, should take a few months. Spa appointments were in other rooms so it wasn't that quiet or relaxing Spa was EXPENSIVE.

it was okay ... but not 5 stars unfortunately

My boyfriend and I spent 5 nights, garden level rooms. The hotel is about 40-50 minutes from the airport, which is a little far but for the location I think it was worth it. The resort is on the pacific side so the waves were very strong, which was cool to watch but don't expect to be spending any time in the ocean. The sunset resort is big and confusing but I think it is work the hike to see the skyview pool all the way at the top of the mountain. The first night we had to stay in a room with two queens as there were supposedly no rooms with king beds. This was my first red flag. What kind of five star resort cannot even accommodate you with the correct room or even give you a better room to make up for the mistake? It was very annoying to have to repack all my stuff after the first night. We were placed in a king bed room for the rest of the nights thankfully. On the last night our balcony had so many bugs that we could not sit outside, which was very upsetting. The so-called exterminator came in twice but it did not help. The rooms were nicely decorated, with stone accents. Bed was comfy but not the comfiest. I liked how if you opened the door the ac automatically shut off. The bathrooms were nicely decorated as well however the shower's water pressure was not so great and the towels were rough, not nice and fluffy. No snacks in the mini bar - only beer, water and soda. The food was great but service at times was not so great. Little things go a long way such as giving cream/milk when you ask for coffee, etc. etc. My orders got messed up multiple times (I just stared not to care after a point) and sometimes the beverages brought out had bugs in it. You could tell some of the servers were more experienced than others. Also, I realized to always order fish at all restaurants: catch of the day at siempre, sashimi and pescados, fish tacos by the pool. They have very fresh fish and it is delicious! Also I had two incidents where they couldn't find the dinner reservation I made. I realize you have to actually go to the restaurant to make a reservation (versus calling over the phone to their designated line) as they simply write it in a book rather than entering it in a computer system. We ordered room service twice and the service was slow (they said 30-40 minutes but it was more like over an hour) but the quality was about the same. I only tried the yoga class and it was very nice to have next to the beach. There were many other activities offered as well, however I did not try them. The overall decor of the hotel is very nicely maintained. The all adults only aspect was great and I definitely saw the difference when I visited the sunset resort. I would return to cabo but most likely not to this hotel. For the price I paid it was not a five star experience although I give them credit for trying.

Great First Solo Vacation

This was the first time I have vacationed solo. I just wanted to relax and decompress for a few days. Pueblo Bonito Pacifica was a great place to do just that. The resort was very calming with the desert motif and the raging waves. The adults were more of the age range of late 20's and older which meant it wasn't the heavy party crowd. Great mix of people. The staff was awesome, food was great.

Fantastic visit to PB Pacifica

Exceptional quality and value for the price. I can start with my only complaint, which I was fully aware of going in is that this resort sits on the Pacific side, so there is NO going in the ocean there. Don't even try. Honestly other than that, the resort was great. Drinks were strong (didn't expect that). Service was polite and quick. The main restaurant was outstanding. Significantly higher quality than standard buffet line fare I expected at an all inclusive. Sushi restaurant on site also included, room service included... free shuttles to their other 3? resorts where all of their bars and restaurants were included. The scenery is amazing and the place is super well kept. I heard that the buffet that they do offer isn't that great. Dunno, we didn't even eat it. Why bother when there's a 4-5 star restaurant 20 yards from there?

Money-saving tip: In Hotel

Take the free shuttles to the other resorts which make the downtown and marina areas easily accessible, saving 14 bucks each way on a roundtrip. We found that this negated the fact that this resort was "off the beaten path".

Romantic getaway!

Love the location of this hotel. It is away from downtown, adults only. The best part was there were no locals harassing us to buy stuff on the beach. We went to Pueblo's other locations downtown and the beaches were so crowded with tourists and locals that it was overwhelming. We couldn't wait to get back to our quiet, beautiful hotel. The food was not as great as we expected but still good. Room service took a long time and no one answered several time to take our reservations. Other than that the staff was very polite and helpful. Beautiful beach but you can not swim there so we had to go into town to do our snorkeling trip.
