The good, the bad and the ugly...
The good: The hotel is near to the beach, and to restaurants and shopping centers. The bad: The recepcionist was lost in time and did not know what to do, the first room he gave us was smeely and not clean. The ugly: The room was cold all the time, security guard was rude and when we asked for a taxi, they could never get one, plus they had no idea where the restaurants or other places where.

Hotel Santa Fe Downtown Cabo
Cute place with in walking distance of everything in down town Cabo. Was very quiet and staff was friendly and helpful. We had to sleep on the pull out couch because the Queen size bed was so hard. For the price, it was perfect! I would stay there again! Rooms had small kitchenette and sliding glass door opened up to the pool.

Cabo Wabo is over priced by A LOT, the swim with Dolphins is great, but you can't take photos and they charge you 25 bucks a picture they take for you (and yes that is US money not pesos!) There is a great little local place called happy endings.. 2 dollars a beer and you get a double shot of tequila with it.. best deal we found for drinks! We had a blast!

Small, but clean and quaint hotel.
About 5 block walk to beach. Very clean and staff was very friendly. Would stay there again. Nice courtyard with pool. Right in the middle of downtown. The only complaint would be that the beds were not comfortable. Very firm.

SOMETIMES 'CHEAP' PAYS OFF
THIS PLACE SUITED OUR NEEDS FINE. WE NEEDED A CHEAP PLACE TO STAY FOR TWO DAYS. IT'S ACTUALLY ALMOST CUTE. ROOMS ARE CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. IT HAS A SMALL CONVENIENCE STORE AND A LAUNDRY ROOM. ALSO YOU CAN ORDER COOKED FOOD AT THE POOL. POOL IS SMALL BUT NICE ENOUGH. IT IS A BIT OF A LONG WALK TO MARINA AND OTHER HOT SPOTS OF CABO, BUT WE ENJOYED OUR TIME WALKING.

A COUPLE OF BLOCKS DOWN TOWARD THE MARINA FROM THE HOTEL, THERE IS A PLACE TO HAVE GREAT TACOS, THEY ARE ONLY OPEN FOR LUNCH. PRICES ARE VERY CHEAP, BUT BEST FISH TACOS.

I have stayed at this hotel 2 times and i would stay there again. I love the location within walking distance to the city center. The hotel staff are wonderful very friendly and accomodating. The mini mart in the hotel is definately and added bonus.The room was large,clean and the beds were very comfortable.For the price I would stay at this hotel again and would recomend it to a friend.

Lupitas food stand is next door to this hotel try he food it is really good and for the price you cant beat it. Shopping in the city center is about a 10 minute walk but there are so many little shops along the way.

OK till you check in to your resort.
We needed a one night stay till we were able to move into the Playa Grande. The room was not a place for relaxing in, the bath was tiny with no counter space, the fridge never cooled, and no place for our luggage (the floor). It had a very small kitchenette with a very small counter-table with 2 kitchen chairs. Outside they had a nice little garden pool area with tables and chairs around. Walking distance to town and restrants, the hotel staff was pleasant. Watch out for the timesharers of course, at the airport, then waiting in line to check-in at the hotel we were hit there too! (I won't even go into the rest of the week of timeshare hecklers)(NEVER NEVER go to the MAYAN presentation unless you plan to buy, we were baited with $300 cash and a bottle of tequila, it was our last day, and we thought what could it be, the guy on the street would NOT take no for an answer, but it was worst hard sell, demoralizing 3 hrs. of our life! Good Luck.

The hotel is basically in town, about 3-4 blocks from the commercial area. Shopping, bars, night-life, dining, on street booths offering all the different recreatations and timesharers the area has to offer.
