Hacienda-style Los Cabos resort stuns with architectural flair and food

Hacienda Encantada All Inclusive Optional Resort is the perfect pitch of modern amenities and local flavor. The hacienda-style hotel brims with authentic Spanish Colonial architecture, from gothic furniture to folk art. The all-suite property features two outdoor pools, and a swim-up bar and two fine dining restaurants capturing both ambiance and sizzling fare. The optional All Inclusive starts on January 5th 2014.

Highlights
  • Spanish Colonial suites
  • Two hacienda-style restaurants
  • Holistic spa and authentic Tezmacal
  • Nightly themed dinners
  • Two pools and a swim-up bar
Rooms
Oversized suites make a striking impression on guests at Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa All Inclusive. Decked out in tropical and Spanish Colonial style, suites -- available in junior, master, presidential and junior penthouse versions -- embrace ethnic artwork, floral bedding and dramatic hand-carved wood furniture. Amber-tinted chandeliers complement mustard-hued tile backsplashes in kitchens, while tile floors lend a feeling of antiquity. The larger suites boast dining tables for enjoying meals in.
Dining

Guests at Hacienda Encantada are treated to a unique and thrilling culinary experience that sends their taste buds on a journey through the many regions and flavors that Mexico has to offer. Hacienda Encantada is home to some of the best restaurants in Cabo, including three Hacienda-inspired gourmet restaurants, two casual restaurants and swim-up pool bars. Dining in Cabo is taken to a whole new level at Hacienda Encantada. Outstanding room service is available 24 hours a day, and catering can be provided for any celebration, social gathering, private party or family reunion at an additional fee. Hacienda's central location makes it ideal for exploring the other culinary delights at the Marina Los Cabos in the Golden Zone, where some of the world's most renowned chefs have set up shop. Hacienda Encantada invites guests to review its Dine Out Privilege option, a unique and innovative all inclusive plan allowing guests to dine at onsite restaurants and also have the option of dining at the Golden Zone.

Recreation
Leisure time at Hacienda Encantada Resort & Spa All Inclusive centers on the two outdoor pools, but visitors can also relax in the Jacuzzis or at the holistic spa. An authentic Tezmacal, or sweat lodge, is a main draw. Inside the hut, stones are heated and infused with medicinal herbs to help release the toxins from the body. The ritual originated in Mexico and Central America.

Dining

La Pergola Restaurant & pool bar
Our La Pergola Restaurant & Pool Bar is the perfect place for a casual meal for 2, or groups up to 100 that want to add water activities to their menu of fun. Our restaurant offers dining al fresco under a shady pergola on elegant cast-iron glass covered tables and comfy chairs. The red-tile roofed outdoor kitchen and bar offer outdoor grilled burgers, sandwiches, Arrechera steak, shrimp baskets, and traditional Mexican fare. Appetizers from Spring Rolls and shrimp cocktails to Super Nachos and 3 kinds of fresh fish and shrimp ceviches are guaranteed to please. Our homemade clam chowder and chicken vegetable soups, Cesar and Chef's salads will bring comfort to those visiting from afar. The long, meandering swimming pool is an elegant blend of traditional and contemporary design from the checkerboard tiled deck and giant stone ball fountain to the brightly painted aqueduct arches that frame the restaurant.
Dining
Guest will have a assortment of restaurant and bar choices from simple snack to a gourmet meal, or a simple beer to a signature Martini or a nice vintage wine.
El Patio Restaurant & Pool bar
Secluded, mystical, and enchanting - El Patio Restaurant is as close to paradise as you can get. Enjoy casual, intimate dining, drinks on our patio overlooking the sea, or a cool margarita at the infinity pool's swim-up bar. Your gaze will drift beyond the waters edge, merging with the Sea of Cortez's horizon and sky above. Experience the power and beauty of nature as waves crash on the rocks fifty feet below your table. Whales, ships and sailboats bound for exotic destinations pass by, while you live the good life indulging yourself by lounging on a Caribbean bed above the sea. Unwind with your favorite beverage - from specialty martinis to cervezas - you'll find them here. Spoil yourself with Mexican and Asian inspired appetizers like Tostadas Contramar featuring sashimi-like tuna slices in soy and Mexican spices, Spring Rolls stuffed with sweet and sour chicken, Super Nachos, 3 types of ceviches and others.
Las Marias Restaurant
Watch the world sail by from our Las Marias restaurant high on a bluff high over the Sea of Cortez. Whales, yachts, cruise ships, and a Hollywood movie buccaneer pirate ship from Cabo, pass by often offshore. Indulge in our special omelet of shrimp, spinach and Hollandaise sauce while watching a beautiful sunrise. For appetizers try the Blue Corn Dough "Gorditas" - stuffed Empanadas (dumplings), or the Tuna Carpaccio with Goat Cheese. Our Tortilla Soup is rich with the colors and textures of old Mexico, the Seafood Soup filled with the sea's bounty in a picante broth. The Glory Salad using organically grown local produce and chunks of blue cheese is a culinary work of art not-to-be-missed. Our original chocolate/chile based mole' sauce recipe takes two days preparation using 35 ingredients, and is fantastic served over chicken. Light up your evening with the Los Barriles Style Shrimp - flambe'd tableside in a delicious Tequila coconut sauce.

Bell boys were very helpful and if you ask, they can give you tips of places to visit and places to buy real silver jewelry. If you go during the summer time is a low vacation season. During the winter from November to March is the high season because of wale watching.

beautiful resort

had a wonderful few days. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and very well prepared. We found the decorations in the room a little too heavy on the religious side, more suited to a convent!! The jitneys are a nuisance, they make a lot of noise all the time.

Most friendly staff

Really nice views - great pools. The layout is a little difficult for anyone with mobility issues, but they have frequent cart service to get from place to place. Food is ok, but not as good as outside restaurants.

Romantic, quiet, delicious, curteous

I read every review on every hotel and chose Hacienda (last year it was Holiday Inn). What a great choice! Delicious food every meal, quiet and relaxing, curteous personable service, romantic setting with gorgeous views down across the harbor to the evening lights of San Lucus. The design of the hotel is multi-leveled down to the ocean with many beautiful pools. Comfortable lounging in the sun was always accessiblepool-side. No hip-hop pounding in the ears. It costs a little more, but hey, what do you really want.

Family Vacation

We recently spent five days at this resort. We had a wonderful time there with gorgeous views watching the whales as we ate breakfast on the terrace. The swimming pools were nice. They offered spectacular views as well. The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean. Unfortunately the restaurants became a bit tired. The service at the restaurants was slow at times. There was some confusion regarding the all-inclusive what was covered and what was not with only a few people really being able to answer questions. We had a great time with the activity director. We did sit through a timeshare presentation which did lower the cost of the activities substantially. Overall we had a great time at this resort and would go back again.

We were recommended a restaurant Los Tres Gallos, it was fantastic. Located in the middle of downtown away from the marina.

Family get together

Overall this resort is fine. Nice views of the sea and mountains. Most of the staff are very courteous and accomodating. Pros - The rooms were nice, large and clean. Pools were clean. Wait staff were nice and helpful. Cons - There were two big issues we faced. 1. Since it was a family get together we had asked for adjacent rooms. We called couple of times to confirm and they assured us we would have it, but when we got there we had to make a fuss to get it in the same building!!! 2. The food choices are limited. You get tired after eating the same thing for a few days. Very few vegetarian options. 3. Very little in terms of entertainment at the resort. You have to go to downtown for any leisure activities, other that pool time. Overall we had a good time but it can be made better.
