Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Right next to the hotel is a local beach where you can get cheap cold beer and a good meal for less than the resort charges, but you have to be willing to eat in a simple but beautiful environment right on the beach.

Great Escape

I like the common areas, great pool and restaurants. The room looks a little old, it need a renewal. The service was great and the personal very friendly. I go to the Fairmon Princess and use of the other options. A great escape of the work and city stress.

Hot Nights in Acapulco!

The room was clean and service good but our air conditioner did not work very well. Even though I brought to the attention of the hotel staff nothing was done to remedy the problem. They offered to give us a one day pass to their fitness room. They said otherwise to use the fitness room would be $10.00/day. First of all, I wanted a room with a working air conditioner and second a 4 star hotel should have a complimentary fitness room! I was disappointed!!!

Loved it

The Pierre Marques is right on Revolcadero Beach, walking distance to a second Fairmont hotel, The Princess. But they couldn't be more different. The Pierre is mostly a 1-2 story rustic stone building with much of the property in private 'bungalows' in a garden setting. The grounds are gorgeous, beautifully maintained, and even during the busy x-mas week, incredibly quiet. The hotel is elegant, sophisticated and laid-back. It's expensive, and feels that way. Even if you get a reasonable room rate, the food is pricey. The clientele are wealthy, and we were surprised how many families (including grandparents, babies..etc) we staying there together. For a hotel with so many children we wondered at how calm it was- no shouting, running...(there is a separate children's staff & playground). In contrast, we spent some days at the Princess, which is nice to 'mix it up', but it's a a bustling, high-rise, theme park scene there, and we always felt relieved coming back to the Pierre. If you like action, you might find it boring. It's also a half hour $ drive into Acapulco central, so if you plan to do a lot of sightseeing, it would be inconvenient. But I loved being outside of the dirt, congestion, & constant harrassment of street vendors in Acapulco central. I would go back to the Pierre Marques in a heartbeat. It's a wonderful hotel.

Fairmont Pierre Marques

This hotel is convenient to the ocean and has good looking pools and playgrounds. Our room was run down and very musty. You are pretty locked into their rather expensive restaurants.

Well kept secret!

The staff here is so polite and caring. Have been here before and will return. The hotel has an old world charm. Small and intimate. Older buildings well maintained. No high rise and not over crowded. Felt very safe and appreciated.

Excellent Stay

I went to an aviation conference at the nearby Princess, the Pierre Marques to me offers the quietness and friendliness of a boutique hotel that The Princess can not offer by shear size. The Staff was very friendly and accommodating when I had to extend my stay.
