Horrible Hotel, not what we expected
I would strongly NOT recommend this hotel as a place to stay. We chose this hotel based on the pictures on [...] the hotel's website, and other reviews we read [...]. The room smelled bad and didn't seem clean at all. There was garbage on other balconies and in outside areas. The hotel's website has really nice photos and claims they are within walking distance of a major shopping district and night life which isn't true. The hotel is in what appears to be a bad area of town and doesn't appear to be anything within walking distance. I wouldn't feel safe staying there or going through the neighborhood on foot. We ended up booking a room at a different hotel and checked out of this hotel.

Seascape
La Siesta was under renovation. My room was clean but the water pressure was very low. The pool area was small and next to a vacant lot filled with debris. The BIGGEST disappointment was the distance from the hotel to the main ave(Costera Miguel Blvd). Leaving the hotel, the walk is about a 1/2 mile to a 1 mile downhill. If you are not in good shape, getting back to the hotel walking uphill will almost kill you. Walking to Costera Miguel Blvd may not be for you, take a taxi instead!!! Next time I will definitely stay at a beachfront hotel on the main ave.

Long walk from hotel
Once you reach the Costera Miguel Blvd, you will find an array of restaurants and stores for shopping. Catching the bus to the Zocalo is a must, you will find shops and people hanging around, children playing, and the cathedral is beautiful.

Ronald the guy in love with Acapulco
very good price very good service
Keep in mind this place is older and looks as such, that's part of the charm of this place. Clean sheets everyday, Staff will go out of there way to make you happy The restaurant very quiet food good The talking bird will keep you entertained. Try the Pesole enough food to keep you full for 2 days and very cheap! all the food is made to order and does take a moment, well worth the wait.Very good hamburgers, hard to find a good burger in Acapulco very quiet pool not full of 1000 kids yelling and screaming Hotel is few blocks up the hill, do not worry about this, wait for cab at hotel entrance only takes 2 or 3 min for one to pass by, cost 25 to 45 pesos anywhere you want to go. Streets around Hotel very safe to walk any time of day or night, Condos and apartments around the hotel are not cheap, better class of people living in this area I have a girlfriend I visit every month in Acapulco, Hotel had no problem with her staying with me my whole visit, Had the time of my life!

Not bad for the money
As I said it's not bad for the money. The shower head fell off. The guy who let us in really late at night was terrific and went out of his way to make us comfortable.

Cheap Motel
The hotel was definitely a cheap motel. The bathroom was in poor shape - shower curtain was practically falling off and held together with duck tape. There was construction going on ... No roomservice ... no kitchen ... no drinking water ... I had to go to the neighborhood store to buy bottles of water ... The price was good since my objective was to save money. At least I got clean sheets every day which was a nice surprise - I didn't expect it. (You buy what you pay for - I knew it going in)
