The hotel is located in the Diamante zone, a luxury heaven near Acapulco. The beaches are awesome and the service offered by the personel at the hotel is top notch. Hotel personel and pretty much everyone seem to be out to get you to spend as much as possible on the tour packages they will eagerly push down on you.

If you acutually want to see the real acapulco, you have to ask around a lot in order to find public transportation. There are "collective" cabs that drive through the main ave in the Diamante zone. They will take you downtown for a modest fare. The tours offered at the hotels are super expensive and boring. Unless you're overweight and the type who wants to experience a city from inside a tour van, then you need to do a lot of asking around. People at the hotels and taxi drivers will not tell you how to find deals; rather they see dollar signs instead of your face. Thats just how it is.

It was decent place for a quick visit but not entirely convenient for many purposes, such as to eat out or to get to other places around Acapulco (you will need to rely heavily on Taxis if you don't have a car).
