Stress getaway

I had a great time. The location of the hotel was perfect. The morning view out the seaside of the hotel was priceless. The room was five stars. The bad things were the TV in our room didn't show a clear picture and when we brought this to the attention of the front desk it was never fixed. One day out of the six days housekeeping forgot to come and clean the room. Overall I would rating of three stars.... Staffing needs more attention in order to achieve four stars.

Please Beware of this hotel!

This is not an easy review to write. The hotel pools are beautiful, but service is a definitely something that needs employee training and improvement! The service at the beach and pool are worth complaining about, in fact there were many guest complaints to the managers! Rooms are very small, moldy and beding is not changed on a daily basis even when asked. Operators are rude and not helpful at all!!! PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS HOTEL!

Go somewhere else

Not good at all. This place has fallen from grace. I visited three years ago Acapulco and the hotel looks old. It needs a renovation and maintenance. They have a very bad costumer service with a staff is inattentive and rude . Even if you speak Spanish they show very poor skills dealing with clients and people. Check-in took forever and the ladies at the front desk were impolite. One day they have close the pool for many hours without prior notice. The ocean beach was filthy, I'm not coming back to this site again

Best Trip Yet

The Staff were very welcoming, friendly, and very respectful. The hotel was situated in a very safe location and rite in the middle of the bay! Every room in the hotel will have the beautiful view of the bay, the higher your room the better! The best mall in Acapulco is rite across the lobby, there are a handful of authentic Mexican and international restaurants which are walking distance to the hotel. In the hotel you will find a clinic, hair saloon, mini market, tour guide company, and a business center all on the ground floor. You will love the EMPORIO

Outdoors marvelous indoors needs improvement

The amenities outdoors are amazing. Swimming pools are beautiful and the sunsets at the infiniti pool are amazing. Indoors the hotel needs improvement. Lobby needs to be air conditioned with the high temperatures of Acapulco. An area that requires immediate attention is the service from staff. Room assigned was standard and not the "privilige suite" paid for. This happened to our friends too. We complained and were provided what we paid for. My final comment is regarding the service and knowledge of bellboys, front desk. It appears no one has the experience or knowledge to recommend even a "seafood" location. We asked multiple staff and beyond blank stares we received unhelpful recommendations. Perhaps the staff is inexperienced or new? I believe a hotel catering to this level of clientele should at least have a concierge. Very disatisfied with the hotel staff.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

At beach walk right and you'll find terrific restaurants for seafood. We ate at 2 and were fantastic. They are just beyond the Crowne Plaza right next to each other. We dined indoors and not at sand.

perfect location

The hotel has perferct location. Our room on the 10th floor, it has nice view, you can see almost all the bay. But the A/C in the room is very noisy, we can not sleep well in the night. Besides this everything is above the normal, i recommend you to go.

Fab location

Stayed on the 8th floor for 4 nights - lovely views from the balcony. Hotel pools were great, especially the infinity pool. plenty of loungers and I loved the Bali beds. Direct access to the beach where there were cabanas if you wanted to be in the shade. Location is suberb - opposite the Diana shopping Mall and Cineplex with plenty of restaurants close by. We ate in either El Fogon or Las Metates restaurants, just across the road, every morning as the hotel buffet, at mx$192, was, we thought, overpriced. However, the drinks in the bar weren't. Cocktails at $65 and beers $35. There are also small kitchens in the rooms with a microwave, fridge and freezer. But, with restaurant food so cheap ..... however, good for a cuppa first thing. Remember to bring your own teabags/coffee For sightseeing: 3 recommendations: El Fuerte de San Diego, La Quebrada and the Clavadistas and a boat trip - we took Victoria V - mx$95 for an hour and a half with commentary and an on board clavadista!

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

The local buses running up and down La Costera from Costa Diamante all the way to Caleta only cost $5 a trip and are very frequent with good signage on their windows. Some drivers very keen on loud music. Bring your earplugs if you're not fond of bass speakers :) The ones marked 'HORNO' go directly along the coast. Some others take a long trip around the town.
