Grand Acalpulco Hotel

The hotel bathrooms needs alot of work to be done...the tiles are cracked and very dangerous in tub areas and caulking is much needed....the views were good from the room..the restaurant at the hotel that overlooks the beach is nice but way overpriced for the dinner...would never recommend this hotel to anyone!!!! Much nicer hotels on the beach and newer.

old, needs to be remodeled ASAP

We got the worst room at the hotel on the 3rd floor, I asked them to get us another room and they moved us to another that was just as bad, same floor, I asked to be moved to another floor and they said my reservation was for a "standard" room and that's all they could do. Meaning when you book with [...] and get the standard you get the worst room.We had to pay for an upgrade and finally got a decent room. Never will go back

Below average hotel

Below average experience. I will probably not return in the future. My room was an un-renovated double bed room on the 10th floor. Pros: Good location Room was clean and spacious Cons: Very slow, discourteous front desk staff (talk on phone while assisting customers at the desk). Check out line was long and the overall scene chaotic. 50 peso charge to use a chair on the beach No reserved bed types; you get whatever they have available when you arrive Very small self-parking lot (not enough capacity to meet demand). Valet parking is slow. Pools and beach closed at 7 pm. Bed was uncomfortable Room upkeep was lacking (security latch not secured on the door, tub faucet would not stop running, dirty grout/caulking in bathroom). No clock in room

Holiday

The above rating is based on the room we were eventually put in. I booked a room over the internet. I paid upfront for a 600 + sq ft room. When we arrived we were checked into a very small room. After you've tipped someone and your luggage has been delivered and its late at night and your tired..it is hard to understand why they would do that as it was low season in Mexico and the hotel was no where near full. I go back down to the front desk and explain the situation and they move us to another room. The size I actually had paid for. This seems to be a pattern in Mexico...they put you in something less than you have paid for and you have to work for what you should have been given in the first place. I get tired of all the time spent trying to fix things, as well as getting tired of tipping for these experiences.
