Great place with excellent food and activities. A bit far and isolated from the rest of the island. See full review

Situated near the fishermen village of Grand Gaube, in the North of Mauritius, LUX* Grand Gaube stretches languorously on a beach coiled around various creeks. In the distance, fishing rafts seem still, birds chirp and crabs hide away at the roots of the coconut trees. Welcome to a world of intense serenity. From the gold sanded creeks, guests can enjoy a panoramic view opening on delightfully named small islands: Coin de mire, Ile Ronde, Ilot Gabriel Zen and luxury attitudes. Rediscover well being the balance within and return to the real life. LUX* Grand Gaube is a promise of exquisite harmony. To travelers longing for positive energies, LUX* Grand Gaube offers the riches of the Feng Shui philosophy which imbues the hotel. This resort nestles amongst tropical gardens and is surrounded by 3 beaches. The coral reef creates a natural lagoon where swimming is very safe. There are 4 restaurants to choose from although the main restaurant is predominantly buffet style.
nevertheless, there are table de hote nights with excellent menus.
The staff are simply outstanding. Attentive, helpful and always keen to ensure that your time at the resort is as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. Although night-time entertainment is limited, there is both an indoor and outdoor cinema which somehow helps elevate the holiday into an extraordinary experience. There are also good sporting facilities available. If you can, purchase an all-inclusive package which includes most of the facilities and drinks, which can be pricey if purchased separately.
The hotel was very pretty, tons of effort is made to maintain the outside grounds and beach, restaurants (food was really good). Bar had excellent entertainment every nigh. The room was OK, they had all the necessities but not in the best
condition (i.e. the mini bar wasn't very cold, the shower glass had some mold in the corners). Totally, loved the free wifi in every corner of the hotel INCLUDING the beach!!. It was a nice stay.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Took half board and glad we did as the nearest town was mainly driving distance. Driving in Mauritius is difficult.
