Excellent location and wonderful
Excellent location and wonderful views from the front seaview room. Property a little tired looking and could do with a revamp. The desk staff were very helpful and spoke English well.

Comfortable stay
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Accomodation clean and comfortable. Unable to comment about the restaurant as I dined elsewhere with friends during my stay. Only downside, for any fitness fanatics, their "gym" is a room with 4 pieces of kit! If you want to work out look elswhere. Otherwise, great location overlooking the sea and easy access to bars, shops etc :-)

The Diplomat is a lovely older
The Diplomat is a lovely older style hotel right on the esplanade in Sliema. The view from the seafront room is spectacular. There are a few restaurants close by and many others within a reasonable walking distance. Buses pick up and drop off nearby, which makes getting around the island very convenient. The hotel rooms are in need of refurbishment and the front desk staff were indifferent to the guests. Specific questions were answered, but no additional information was given and every request seemed to be an imposition on their time. This was in sharp contrast to the staff who served in the restaurant at breakfast, who were cheerful and helpful. We saw guests actually asking the waitresses for information that should have been forthcoming from the front desk. The breakfasts were varied and plentiful and from the number of guests who took advantage of the cheap buffet dinners it seems the restaurant was a hit with guests.

Hinta vastasi laatua - ehkä.
Sijainniltaan erinominen matkustajille jotka eivät halua olla aivan keskustassa.Hotellin edessä kulkevalta rantakadulta kuuluu ainakin alempiin kerroksiin liikennemelua. Hotellivarauksen maksusuorituksen kanssa oli epäselvyyksiä, ne kyllä selvisivät mutta pudotti henkilökunnan arvosanaa. Mainosteksti "All rooms have a side sea view ..." lupaa liikaa. Suurin osa huoneista on sivukadun varrella. Näkymä merelle kyllä on kun kapealta parvekkeelta kurkottaa katsomaan. Toisaalta, otsikon perusteella, sitä saa mitä tilaa.

Hyvä paikka lomanviettoon
Hotelli oli pääosin neljän tähden tasoa, joskin elämisen jälkiä oli kohtalaisesti. Aamupala normitasoa, sen sijaan päivällispakettitarjousta (3 päivällistä) en ottaisi. Ruuat olivat pöperömäisiä. Henkilökunta ystävällistä ja altaalla toukokuussa mukavasti väljyyttä.

Aika ajanut ohi
Netissä annetaan kuva nykyaikaisemmasta hotellista kuin totuus on. Kalustus vanhahtavaa, tekstiilit puhtaita mutta erittäin kuluneita mm. päiväpeitteen kääntöpuolella reikiä. Varttuneiden brittituristien suosikkikohde. Hotellikuvauksessa olisi myös syytä mainita, että hotellin editse kulkee varsin vilkasliikenteinen katu, jonka äänet kuuluvat hyvin huoneisiin.

マルタ、スリーマのホテルはどこもコストパフォーマンスは良いで
マルタ、スリーマのホテルはどこもコストパフォーマンスは良いですが、少し場所はスリーマの繁華街から離れているものの、サービス、清潔さは価格を大きく超える水準です。余計なサービスはありませんが、頼めば大抵のことはしてくれますし、レセプションも大変フレンドリーでした。
