Standard room offers two twin beds and bedding varies. Inland rooms view a court yard with a country approach lined with palm trees and flora with a central display of a mini golf course. All rooms are provided with private bathroom facilities, direct dialing telephone (service at a charge), air-conditioning, mini fridge, satellite TV, hairdryer, tea / coffee making facilities (service at a charge) & safe deposit box at a charge. The room design is comfortable with semi modern furnishing. Twin rooms with either twin, double or triple beds according to request.

The hotel is good. We had a hard time communicating with family back home, as there is no free WiFi. Even after buying time on WiFi the connection was impossible, the i phone and i pad could not make connection. My Samsung phone only connected to
the internet on our last day.
Tea and coffee is not supplied in room, one has to buy from coffee shop in reception.
I travel to Malta frequently on business and tend to try different hotels in various locations. This trip was at short notice so I was limited in the amount of choice so chose the Qawra Palace Hotel as it looked good on paper.
Upon arrival I was
met with a queue of 50+ people and only 1 receptionist desperately trying to book everyone in. With 8 floors and only 3 (small) lifts, the wait seemed to take forever. I had booked a double room as I took my wife (the plan was that I was to do business whilst my wife laid by the pool) but was met with 2 single beds. Back down to reception (another long wait for the lift). They rectified the problem by pushing the single beds together and zipping the mattresses together a novel if extremely uncomfortable solution.
The room positives: clean, good size, ok size balcony, cramped but modern bathroom.
Room Negatives: no tea/coffee making facilities, empty fridge, antiquated aircon that worked - just - but sounded like a petrol generator! The view was of another room opposite which meant that when changing you had to keep closing the curtains! This was not helped by the fact that there were only 2 tiny bed lights for the entire room.
The restaurant positives: Plenty of space so no waiting, fairly clean and modern.
Negatives: Breakfast was adequate but typical of many hotels that I have stayed in in Malta.
The pool is large and overlooking the bay, but is salt water and not fresh water. As we were on business we didn't eat in the hotel apart from breakfast and didn't use any other facilities other than:
- wifi is excellent and works everywhere in the hotel including our room on the 7th floor - better than many hotels I have stayed in in Malta and costs €2 per hour which is ok for the country.
- We had to check out by 10AM but our flight was not until 1AM but they allowed us to use the room for only €25 which seemed very reasonable.
Overall: Average hotel, good pool, full of all inclusive holiday makers more interested in when the bar opens in the morning. I will not be going back again as there are many other better hotels for the same amount of money in the local area not to mention the rest of Malta. By UK standards this would be a 2 or 3 (at a stretch) star hotel.
