***We are pleased to advise that the Resort shall be continuing the upgrading program that aims to further enhance the overall Guest experience. Effectively, the upgrading works which had begun earlier this year will recommence in November 2012 and involve a progressive program which will see all Guest Rooms and some Restaurants completed by end of November 2013. These works will cease during the 2012 Christmas / New Year Peak period and recommence in late February 2013. Following the completion of these rooms by end April 2013, a progressive program will see all Guest Rooms completed by the end of 2013. The upgrading works involve refitting the room interior with an improved layout, new furniture and fittings, new wall and ceiling panels as well as electrical and plumbing improvement.*** CLARIFICATION - Complimentary Activities during Upgrading Kindly be informed that complimentary activities like Island Tours, Mangrove Tours, Nature Walks, Fish & Eagle spotting, Cooking Classes with Chef, Round Island excursions arranged at the Resort will be available only ON DAYS OF HIGH NOISE LEVELS during the upgrading works period and will NOT be offered on complimentary as a daily activity. On days of high noise levels when these activities are arranged by the resort, the guests will be advised to pre-book their seats early as there are only a maximum number of seats for each activity offered on each day. Notice: The upgrading works at Tanjung Rhu Resort Langkawi will commence again on the 18th of February and areas affected includes the guests rooms (West Wing) and Saffron Restaurant whereby both is expected to complete along year 2013. Main works will be carried out between 9am to 6pm daily and extended hours may be implemented when necessary. The Resort will be offering complimentary daily recreational activities during days of heavier works as extra initiative. All efforts will be taken to minimize disturbance during guests' stay and we apologize for the inconvenience caused. With conjunction to the upgrading works, both restaurants, Saffron and The Rhu will be temporarily closed. Dining options available include either Romantic Beach BBQ, Poolside Steamboat or Sands Dome Set (all 3 on alternate rotation basis) and A Gourmet Set Dinner (a selection from The Rhu's Fine Dining Menu).

Notice: Our resort has designated all rooms to be non-smoking. Guests who still wish to smoke may do so at the room balcony or open areas within the resort. Guests who smoke in the room will be levied smoke cleaning charges depending on the level and intensity of cleaning required.
