Missleading offer

When we did the booking, it was stated to be a free upgrade offer. However, the hotel staff refuse to upgrade and keep telling this is not a promise from hotel, just a deal between the guest and the online booking agent....despite they have empty rooms.... so ridiculous... Will never go back!!

Still a nice escape fom busy Hong Kong

We stayed just one night at the Westin. As per previous visits, although it's a little rundown (ongoing rennovations noted), it's still a great escape from busy Hong Kong and also fom the craziness of the Cotai Strip and the other busier areas of Macau. The staff were generally very friendly and helpful. The rooms are adequately spacious and clean. There is a real feeling of tranquility and calm as soon as you arrive. On the downside, breakfast was not included in our rate (I believe it was a few years ago), the external side walls on the terraces need a coat of paint and we changed rooms twice to escape the noisy slope works along the road (no fault of the hotel).

Some R&R following work in China

My wife and I spent 2 nights at the Westin Resort Macau. Although a bit far from the casinos, it was still very convenient due to the free shuttle bus provided by the resort. The staff was excellent, and very helpful. The location was great being away from the crowds nearer the casinos.

As Good As It Is

If not for the location, this hotel would have scored lots of brownie points for me. It is quite far from where the "action" is in Macau--about 20 minutes from the ferry terminal. The shuttle service helps however, though it would be nice t have more than just 3 the drop off points/pick-ups. Breakfast is okay--nothing to really rave about. Overall, it's a Westin Hotel still, so there is the "brand" amenities (robes, comfy bed and pillow, toiletries, etc). But one thing it does not have? Internet/wifi access in the room. What gives?

undecided. few good and few not so good

Beautiful resort, great staff. There was a smell of old mildew in our hallway by our room, but not in the room. The Dinner buffet was not great and they did not keep it topped up. Food from the menu was fantastic. Shuttle was free and easy to get get around. Would recommend, just not the dinner buffet, be sure to stick the menu

Great Service

Overall the Westin Resort, Macau was a nice place to stay. It's a little far from the center of the action, but they have a shuttle that runs regularly, and they are located on a beach. My one complaint was the extra cost of internet access, which seems to be a norm at a lot of nice hotels now anyway, but I think it's a little ridiculous to charge as much as they do. But, I have to say the service and staff were excellent. I had a health problem on my first morning there and they made sure I got to a hospital where English was spoken and then when I got back, they sent me a complimentary breakfast, which was huge and delicious, along with a get well card signed by all the staff. It was a nice touch and I definitely felt like I could rely on the hotel in an emergency.
