Excellent Location at Steep Discount
The hotel facade is very unassuming, but the rooms are very well appointed and spacious. Internet is very fast. The location is one block from the Grand Lisboa, and two blocks from the Wynn or Senado Square. Directly in front of the hotel is the bus stop for shuttles to the Coati Strip (City of Dreams, Venetian, Sands, Hard Rock). Can't beat the location (middle of downtown) and the price. Staff were very courteous. Shuttle service is free to and from the ferry terminal.

Bed is lijke Golden Dragon -- Too Hard
One of Stanley Ho's early efforts at a non-casino hotel.Once was quite chic, and the lobby staff still thinks it is. Besides the most uncomfortable beds, the area around it is now so busy, it is most unpleasant. Hotel is also now a haven for families with kids. Food is ok but pricy. Big problem is that the location does not afford access to taxis and everyone needs to wait. No decent food in walking distance.

The best thing is that hotel location,
The best thing is that hotel location, 5-10 minutes walk to senado square and 5 minutes walk to casino groups nearby such as Grand Lisboa and Lisboa and Wynn with you can also shopping and see the beautiful waterfall show in front of wynn hotel. Hotel staff are also helpful. Finally if you want to go to Venetian, there is bus to "city of dreame" ( casino which located in opposite side of road to Venetian)in front of Sintra hotel, next time I will choose Sintra again for sure.

Location Location Location
Central location remains Hotel Sintra's true strength, belying its older and simpler nature. While everything is very close in general, this hotel provides everything within truly short walking distance (i.e. Senado Square, Ruins of St. Paul, Grand Lisboa Hotel are within a 5 minute walk). Also, all the major shuttles from the other mega casinos stop here if you want to visit Venetian, Hard Rock, City of Dreams). Cab rides or buses to A-Ma Temple or Fisherman's Wharf are close in proximity, but can take longer due to traffic. 7-Eleven is around the corner for sundries and restaurants are fewer but available at all hours. My reason for not returning to Sintra truly are of my own wants. Being more of a night owl, I'd prefer a few more things to do at the drop of a hat. While I appreciate that there is no craziness as this is a bare-bones hotel, the fact is the rooms feel and are dated, they are rather small compared to U.S. or major chain standards, and there are no views to be found, unless you want to see the building across the way or rooms around the corner. Most every night, I spent my time at the Grand Lisboa or Lisboa Hotels which had more restaurants/cafes, actual stores inside, and other facilities. If you want to be in centro Macau, do the Wynn or Sands if you want to spend a few dollars and live the high life. If you are on more of a budget, Sintra's sister properties of the Lisboa / Grand Lisboa are better options. Ultimately, I'd probably stay at the Crown or Hard Rock so I'd have spas, shows, and all the newest things available at my finger tips. I had no idea that the free shuttles from the Macau ferry pier were only a ten minute drive to the Taipa mega-casinos.

Money-saving tip:
Not Applicable
In the Senado Square area, walk further up towards St. Paul's Ruins for cheaper souveneirs and food products. In the Taipa area hotels, make sure to bring your passport to sign up for a gamblers card, everything is discounted and more readily available. I felt like a leper as I couldn't seem to get any help or info once they found that I wasn't staying in the properties in the area. Skip the buffet in the Hard Rock, instead just hand-pick what you want at the food stands right outside. You'll pay 1/2 the price and get exactly what you want.

The place is really good. Not
The place is really good. Not as grand than the other other casinos in the area but the hotel itself is really good. Rooms are really big (superior room) and clean with good facilities. It doesn't have a casino though. Free shuttle to City of Dreams stops infront of hotel. Grand Lisboa casino is about 3 minutes walk. 7-11 is at the side of the hotel and a McDonalds is 1 block away. Only drawback is the free shuttle service from the ferry terminal. We have to call the hotel 3 times and wait for about 45 minutes for the shuttle to arrive. 1 shuttle passed by but didn't stop (it didn't have any passengers). We had to wait for another one. As compared to the frequency of Grand Lisboa shuttles (about 3 trips in about 5 mins), it's like waiting forever. If you are looking for a good hotel to stay in Macau with a comfortable price and is okay without a casino, Book this hotel. Aside from the shuttle problem, everything is good. Also, it's about 4 to 5 mins walk to Senado Square.
