To stay in total comfort and luxury at an affordable price, the Guia hotel in Macau is the perfect destination, The place has got a tranquil and peaceful surrounding, is suitable for both businessmen and leisure travelers.
Hotel Guia has the honor to receive "2009 Macao Gree Hotel Award", which is organanized by Environmental Protection Bureau with the collaboration of Macao Government Tourist Office. Hotel has a great responsibilitiy to maintain the environment quality and ensure the guest can enjoy the greenary, constant temperature and low carbon accomodation.
Guia hotel has got a wide range of facilities and services that cater to the needs of all the guests staying in the hotel.
Two bullet elevators to convey guests to the five storey building. Each room is equipped with LCD color television, movie entertainment, international direct dial telephone, mini-bar and central controlled air-conditioning, free wifi and all executive room is set up with independent internet facility.
Some of the rooms with balcony that give very lovely views of the surroundings. During the time of the Macau Grand Prix, the Guia track can be seen from the hotel and some of the rooms even give the great view of the Guia Circuit at the time.
Apart from the necessary facilities and hotel amenities, Guia hotel have a team of helpful staffs that offer very warm hospitality and are always available for the convenience of the guests.

Amazing Macau
Hotel Guia was not as impressive as the other hotels in Macau, not by a long shot, it did not have a casino on the proptery and was right next to a beautiful historical site with a great place for a jog, for both tourists and locals. But for a place to stay away from the crowds and still close to the downtown shopping areas, this was an ideal location, bring your walking/running shoes as it is on a hill and perched on the incline. Both the Downtown and Red Market shopping areas are within 10 minutes walking distance. Macau is small and about the only economical activity there is taking a cab, so I used it often. And from the hotel, ask the front desk to call one for you where they can write the name of your destination, English is not spoken widely, and forget about trying to use the Portugese or English names, there is no extra charge either from the hotel or from the taxi for this service, all cab rides are metered and receipts are readily available. The best thing about this hotel is free wireless internet service, no log on or passwords necessary. All in all, Macau was a great experience in large part because of Hotel Guia. I would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone.

The currency used in Macau is the Pataca, it is often interchangeable with the Hong Kong Dollar. The casino slots will only accept the HK Dollar though. Expect to pay an extra fee for the use of credit cards.

We like this hotel and would stay here again. The location is nice next to the Guia lighthouse. I phoned the hotel from the ferry in Macau and the shuttle bus came to pick us up. We also booked the shuttle to drop us off at the ferry at the end of our stay. The rooms are small but well designed and have everything you need for your stay. The bathrooms are lovely, well designed and there is hot water all day. The room was very quiet. The staff were efficient and friendly. I would have recommended this hotel as very good for all criteria for the price but the window from (website) would not allow me to do so as it was covered by the members menu.

We enjoyed our stay here very much, the air is clean and fresh surrounding the hotel. It is a petite size hotel room good enough for couple traveling on holiday. However, it would not be recommended if you are in Macau for casinos and you will need transport to get to food attraction places.

Rest beneath the protection of a fortres
I was in Macau for a combination of business and pleasure. I was born and raised in Macau. Guia was the symbol of Macau, and the fortress on top of the hill was fortified. I was excited to be so close to this historic site. Hotel room where I stayed was cleaned and well furnished. The rate I got was half of what the hotel would charge. It is close to the Central Library, and the old town. One can even walk to the hydrofoil pier (right turn from downhill) in 10 minutes.Guia is a hot spot for excercise for the local.

This is an inexpensive hotel in Macau with pretty good facilities. It has in-room free wi-fi which I found very useful and not so common in Macau hotels, especially for this price. It is also within a 10-15 min walk to Grand Lisboa, and 3 min walk to a 7-eleven. This is all in all a pretty good, no frills and comfortable hotel.

My stay at Hotel Guia is smooth.
My stay at Hotel Guia is smooth. Though there are not many facilities such as gyms or pools, who needs it when you are in the Vegas of the East? Location to nearby stores is about 5-10mins away but this is manageable. The staff are English speaking and friendly and helpful with enquiries. Overall no complains : )

I had a great experience staying in hotel Guia macau. except for that Receptionist named Fish wong who I think do not know what customer service is all about. Setting her aside, i would recommend this hotel to those who visits Macau. Hotel boy at the lobby has been also helpful. The room was great with great design. :) I super love the room with balcony. :)

We enjoyed staying at this hotel.
We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Is clean & hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The place is quiet and away from the city but walking distance to major casinos and near to the Guia light house. There is bus stop next to the hotel or you can get a taxi when you get lazy to walk uphill.

Located at mid hill. Must climb up slope. Had to learn how to move around. Morning walk up to the top of the hill, where the exercise park is location, just 5mins. If you need Taxi had to ask Hotel to call in, very fast service, difference from Singapore. The Hotel has a good tim-sum chinese restaruant, price reasonable, services, and tasty.
