Switching into disgusting smoking room and unauthorised charges after leaving
After booking a non-smoking room I was given a smoking room - with the staff apparently having no appreciation of how bad it is for a non-smoker to have to sleep in a room with a stench of smoke. It was utterly disgusting. They then added extra charges to my card after I left. Won't go back.

Excellent location and vey comfortable. Room had fridge, wired internet, ironing board/iron and even an umbrella! Comprehensive breakfast. Only minor downside was advice not to drink tap water in room. I bought very cheap bottled water from nearby supermarket.

Good for short stays
Really liked the location in the old town. Hotel is new and youthful, good amenities. I can recommend for both business and leisure travellers.

It was fantastic!
I've been to Riga several times, every time a new hotel. Didn't really care much about where I was staying, but this one - I really enjoyed my stay. The staff was amazing, very friendly. I really liked the location and how quite it was. Best trip to Europe so far.

Riga, Latvia Hotel
This Hotel is near to the heart of the "old town". The reason We were visiting Riga was for pleasure, visiting frends and making new ones. The Hotel is not equiped with a bellman or restaurant. This Hotel is just a place to stay and sleep, nothing else. Although You might think that this was a negative description, it's not. The hotel rooms were small, with comfortable beds.

Everything is very close, DO NOT RENT A CAR. Keep the shower door open to be able to turn around not get hurt. steikkieu Haus in Old Riga was very Nice.

Old Riga Palace Hotel Riga
Went for a conference. The breakfast could be a little better - I do not mean quantity - the variety was there. I would work on quality. The room was a bit noisy. The stuff could be a bit more helpful - helping calling to US (they told t\us they do not know how to call 1-800 numbers and were not willing to help), checking out 0 one person started checking us out and then got on the phone for about 15 min. - we did not know if we were checked out or not and just stood there).
