Huone ei, mitä luvattiin
Saavuttuani hotelliin, minut ohjattiin huoneeseen, joka ei kunnoltaan ja varustetasoltaan (ja kuviltaan) vastannut kuvausta. Hotellin johtaja kertoi, että La Ong Dao Hotel 1 on hotellin halvempi puoli, josta olin maksanut (noin 23 euroa/yö). Lukot eivät toimineet, huone oli 5 euron arvoinen, hyttysiä tuli sisään vessan kautta. Minut siirrettiin toiseen rakennukseen, joka ei laadultaan vastannut merkittävästi edellistä. Kuolleita torakoita ja munankuoria rapuissa, ei pyyhkeitä ja alakerrassa äänekäs karaoke. Valitin ensimmäisen yön jälkeen toistamiseen ja johtaja suostui "upgrademaan" huoneeni, joka vihdoin oli hotellin remontoidussa osassa ja näytti siltä, miltä pitikin. Siellä pystyin nukkumaan rauhassa, kylpyhuone oli siisti ja wifi toimi suhteellisen hyvin. Laosin hintatasolla mitattuna aivan ylihinnoiteltu hotelli, vaikka uudella puolelle rahoille saikin parhaiten vastinetta. Hotellin yhteydessä/vieressä oleva ravintola tarjoaa tylyä palvelua ja laskee vaihtorahat tahallaan väärin, mutta ruoka on edullista ja hyvää. Tarkkana varausten kanssa.
