disappointing
i was led to believe this would be some kind of boutique hotel with more of a design concept. the website certainly presents it this way. this is a completely typical japanese business hotel, except priced 10-20% higher. definitely not worth paying extra for. also i have never had a hotel try to charge me extra for an early check in when the room was already clean and available.

Good value
I randomly chose this hotel when spending the week-end in Tokyo. This is clearly a good value, since it is easy to spend $200 or more in Tokyo. The hotel is close to a subway station, making it convenient to go downtown. It is a little bit difficult to find the hotel and the staff does not really speak English. The rooms are very small but comfy. There are plenty of restaurants reasonably priced very close to the hotel.

This really should be called the "a"
I know that this was my first journey overseas so there's really no basis for comparison but I really must say just how much of a great hotel this is. The "b" sangenjaya really does deserve a first class review. The hotel is superb, very clean and well managed. The staff were also very, very helpful and would do all they could to make sure that customers queries were resolved to the best of thier abilities. The rooms are very clean, and well laid out and the breakfast in the mornings really does help set you for whatever the day has in store for you. I would almost certainly stay here again.

Entertainment tip:
Short walk from hotel
There are many nightclubs and resturants around this hotel. Not to mention a Karaoke club and Tokyu Den-toshi subway line which is a direct route to Shibuya. Everything you need is really right on your doorstep.
