smart value in Shiodome

Shiodome is an exciting area itself to stay to experience the futuristic metropolis aspect of Tokyo, but the hotel is also convenient to multiple rail lines to get to all the other areas. The panoramic view behind the reception desk is dominated by nearby Tokyo tower. The breakfast buffet in the lobby is very extensive and a good value. Our room had a great view of the Tokyo Sky Tree and the multiple levels of highways, walkways and the Yurikamome rail that form the core of Shiodome . The Thann bathroom amenities are a treat since you can't purchase them in the US.

The adjacent Dentsu skyscraper has multiple great "sky view" evening dining establishments as well as a McDonald's, Subway, Pronto, and other cheaper dining options on the ground floor.

Great hotel with a fantastic view.

Great hotel with a fantastic view. Shiodome is not in the center of the city, but close, with both train and subway near by, and easy to get to from Heneda airport,

Great Hotel for the price

Location is fantastic - about two or three minutes walk away from a train station. Within walking distance to the most prestigious shopping areas of Tokyo. The hotel's restaurants are a bit too pricy, but there are all classes of restaurants within five minutes walk away. For the price, my overall impression is excellent .

Shopping tip: Long walk from hotel

Even though one can go to Ginza by train but walking from the hotel to this exclusive shopping area helps one have a better feel of this part of Tokyo.

It was less nice than I expected

It was less nice than I expected for the cost. The room was small but a decent size for Japan. Some staff were initially not helpful but were helpful at other times. I arrived early and had difficulty checking in early and had to wait over 2 hours.
