Frst trip to Tokyo
Carol Oct 15, 2008
This is a great hotel for your first visit to Tokyo. You can take an airport shuttle for $30 each way pp which is really ... convenient and easy to find at the airport. It is very short walking distance to the subway( you will need to buy a debit subway card for a min of $10/$1000 yen which you can only buy with yen and you will need to get in and out of the subway entrances--taxis are unaffordable here) and the Ginza shopping and restaurant area. The Marunouchi buildings are a great place to eat a late night dinner after exploring the city and a short walk from the hotel. The staff were very attentive and when asked we received good info on the Kabuki theater shows we wanted to try to see including a write up in english of the actual show themes.Tokyo is the most expensive city in the world( much like NYC in the USA) so be prepared for high rates however.

The Palace Hotel was excellent. The superior room was very efficiently designed with plenty of space in the living room and ... bathroom. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic and I would definitely stay there again.
