The Mercure Hotel Ginza Tokyo couldn't have suited us better. Tokyo was our first stop in Japan and we were tired and ... somewhat overwhelmed when we arrived. It was so nice that the hotel receptionist was so fluent in English. He was efficient, friendly and took care of all our needs. Our room was adequate in size, very clean and attractive. The bed was very comfortable. The lovely robes, slippers, heated toilet seat, and deep bathtub felt luxurious. The internet access in the lobby was fine for our purposes. The manager was very helpful in getting my pictures to email. The best thing about the Mercure is the wonderful location in the heart of Ginza. There were plenty of restaurants around including a McDonalds which we used for quick breakfasts when we didn't want fish first thing in the morning. There is a train station stop only a few blocks from the hotel. The welcoming attitudes of all the employees made for a very positive and memorable experience for us. Thank you, Mercure Hotel!

Shopping Mecca

The Mercure Hotel Ginza is incredibly comfortable and well-kept. It is literally steps away from high-end shopping, with ... stores such as Tiffany's, Cartier, and Gucci in close proximity. The rooms were spacious as far as Tokyo hotel rooms go, and the staff were helpful and bi-lingual. The bottom floor was a subway station which allowed us to arrive at Tokyo's Disneyland in about 25 minutes.
