Beautiful hotel in perfect Shinjuku Location

The staff at the hotel was extremely friendly. For those visiting from the United States, all the staff speak pretty good English so its not too difficult to have a conversation. Once we arrived to the hotel, checking in was a breeze and they have bell staff waiting to take your luggage to your room. The room itself was a bit dated but nonetheless comfy and had everything you needed. If possible, make reservations in the Main Tower. We stayed in the South Tower and those rooms are apparently going to undergo a renovation since they are dated. However, once in the room, you had everything you can think of from razors, to slippers, to pajamas, and tooth brushes. Its quite convenient. The rooms are a bit small compared to rooms in the US but we expected that as we had already read the difference in room size. For the most part, things are just smaller in Japan, even seats on buses felt smaller. Eating at the restaurant can be expensive. The few times we ate at the hotel, the prices average between $35-$50 a person once you convert from yen to USD. We found it much better to go out at eat as the prices were much lower and the food more authentic and savory. So many places to eat within walking distance from the hotel. Lastly, if you plan on going to Disneyland during your visit, this hotel does have a shuttle that drops you off and picks you up from the resort. You need to make reservations beforehand as the shuttle fills up quick. They only have 3 hotel pick up times and 3 resort pick up times. If you want to get the latest pick up time from the resort, I suggest you reserve way before. That was always filled up. However, if you are not ready to be picked up at 7PM and do wish to stay later, there is a rail station thats literally right in front of Disneyland Tokyo and it will take you back to Shinjuku station. Shinjuku station is about a 7-10 minute walk from the Hotel. Being that close to the station is one of the best things about the location of the hotel as it literally can get you everywhere. That was our go to spot every day as we ventured out and explored. Overall, the hotel was great and accomodated what we needed from our trip. We highly recommend it just book your room in the main tower if you can in the meantime.

Shopping tip: Long walk from hotel

If you go on the east side of Shinjuku station, there is a huge shopping district. Go to Don Quixote where you can find so many souvenirs that are affordable plus you can get a big bag of amazingly delicious green tea kit kats for roughly 350 yen (i.e. $3.50).

Best in staff and best in food

Most helpful and courteous staff I have ever experienced at a hotel. They were falling over themselves to help us with our bags. Every element of customer service was exemplary. The on-site restaurants were some of our favorite meals ever. Highly recommended.

Good Value and Location

This hotel is huge and you won't get the personal touch. There is nothing luxurious about this hotel either you will feel like you walked into a conventional hall rather than a cozy and well designed hotel lobby. However, room was clean and functional (we stayed at the recently renovated floors). In addition this hotel is located right by Shinjuku Train-Metro Station (about 10 mins walk underground), which is a major interchange. It is also very close to streets with restaurants.

Excellent business hotel in the heart of Shinjuku

I have stayed at the hotel a few times now and every time it is a good experience. Rooms are clean and have amenities for the business traveler. Staff is very helpful. This time, even though reserving from a hotel site they upgraded my room. The Skybar has excellent views of Tokyo and is one of my favorite places in the world to sit and enjoy a drink after work. Could not have been a better experience.

Keio Plaza is the Place to Stay in Shinjuku

I have stayed at this hotel for work many, many times over the last 40 years. It is one of the best in Japan as far as I am concerned. Yes, it is NOT a 5-star hotel, but as 5-stars go, they are usually not worth the extra money. I find that the location near Shinjuku station and the good restaurants in the area and the entertainment area on the Station East side are unmatched anywhere. The staff is extremely good and can help with any difficulties you might have. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
