Real Good Option Right in the Mix

I'll start by saying that all hotels in Japan are small compared to Western standards. I do not count this against them. If tons of space is what you need, you should go to one of the major chains and pay a fortune. Villa Fontaine was surprisingly good for how cheap it was. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from Shinjuku Station, which will allow you to get anywhere you want in Tokyo, including back to Narita Airport. Shinjuku is a happening nightlife district, so there are plenty of restaurant & bar options nearby. I stayed in a double. The room was big enough to hold our two big suitcases, and there was still a little room to walk around. The bed was a little hard, but it was big enough for two of us to sleep comfortably. Wired internet, but no wireless. The bathroom was clean. The shower and tub were behind a glass door, which provided a nice steam room effect. The shower was separate from the tub, and it was easily the biggest shower I used during my vacation. I didn't have to duck or hit the walls while moving or anything (I'm 6 feet tall). There are also a bunch of amenities provided in case you forget anything (toothbrushes, razors, etc...). Also, it was really quiet. I don't know if no one else was there because it was the beginning of the week or the walls are just think, but we didn't hear anyone else. Staff is friendly and speak enough english to handle your basic needs. However, they don't speak enough to hold any extended or non-hotel related conversations. Wasn't an issue for us, but just an FYI if that's important to you. I'd definitely recommend this hotel and would 100% stay there again.

Overall good experience

The hotel was small but had all the necessary amenities and was very clean. However, It's location was a bit difficult to find at first.

There's a little truck that sells crepes a couple hundred metres away from the hotel and they're delicious!

Good hotel

Well located hotel if you want to be close to the action and night live in Tokyo. Just a few blocks from Shinjuku station. "Breakfast" is just disappointing though (cold hot dog taken to your room).
