The hotel is an excellent value. It is two stops off the main line (Yamanote). So, getting anywhere in Tokyo is fairly easy. Great views of Tokyo Bay.

small but functional

The good the bad and the ugly..... the bad - size of our room was very small. but since we only slept and showered there, that was ok, it was functional and that is what counted. the pictures of the rooms seemed bigger, but the room was small. Smoking, seems that smoking is allowed everywhere, there really is no non smoking rooms....but we couldn't tell of any smoke in the room, because of the cleaning they do. they scrub the walls we noticed, great cleaning. the good. location was awesome. hotel sits right on top of the rinkae line, which was perfrect for us....we got one of those suica cards, and loaded it up with money to be able to go in and out. it is only 2 stops away from osaki station, which is the main JR trains in Tokyo. we went that way a lot. the other direction had a great mall area Tokyo teleport station, and then at the end of the line was the way to Disney land, which was great. so perfect middle location for all our activities. and the mall down below was great for eats and all night lowrys store (7-11), for our waters and snacks, the mall had an Aeon, which had everything, and many small restaurants, with a burger king too.....although we suggest the one on the 1f, across from aeon, the one with the fish, that place was great. one station north is the monorail, but suggest going the other way, especially if you have rail pass, because the monorail was expensive. the other way to osaki, is better, as it is only one stop away from shinagawa, and then up to Tokyo, or the other way just a couple of stops to the west side stations, like harajuku, shibuya, and shinjiku..... (KNOW YOUR STATIONS), best way to get around. we flew into hanaida airport, we should of taken the monorail then rinkai line to hotel......but we took a cab, would up being like $50.....rail would of been less than 10. but it was very late, and I think the rinkai line stops running around midnight. so this hotel, best thing, is location....and price..... the ugly....smoking everywhere......we are non smokers so it was hard, all restaurants at night are smoking, every floor or room is a smoking room. but it is like that everywhere in Tokyo. overall, very good hotel for price and location and clean.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

diver city mall, two stops to the east on the rinkai line. out front, has a 5 story gundam statue, and the mall was nice, there is a second mall there with outlets....all very modern stuff. you won't find much in old japan souvineers here, but you will find a great train(toys and other) shop, and the gundam, and nice food court, they have a hello kitty pancake/donut place, awesome....

Nice and clean

Clean hotel with good staff. Location is not the best, and although we requested a non-smoking room, they were not able to accommodate that request on the first of our three nights there.

Disneyland Visit

Staff spoke English; able to get to/from Tokyo Disneyland without too much trouble (two trains; 30 minute travel time; not much different than buses at Disney World!). Great rates. Agree with other reviewers that beds are extremely firm (hard) but got used to it. Roomy compared to other places we stayed. Front desk very helpful - helped us investigate Shinkansen train schedules for going to Osaka.

Extended Stay in Japan

Great hotel for one person or couple traveling for business or tourism. The hotel staff was very helpful and some could speak English, which was also quite helpful. The rooms are very small with little or no space for luggage, but that seemed typical for Japanese hotels. One of the best aspects of the hotel was that it was in a quiet, clean, business district that was attached to a complex with stores, a mall with a grocery store, and rail station easily accessible by the hotel elevator. This made travel and shopping easy
