Outstanding!
This was an outstanding experience! We had breakfast on the 40th floor of the Garden Tower, enjoyed the 450-year old Zen gardens and shopped at the exclusive boutiques. Great hotel!

For the price it was ok, but they charged for internet, the beds were hard and there didn't seem to be a public bath. For a 5 star hotel I really expected more. I'd much rather stay at a Dormi Inn than this place.

Hotel New Otani - Excellent Location
The location of this hotel make it easier to learn how the subway system work. However, I did not feel like getting any return benefit by paying higher charge for selecting room in the Main building instead of the Tower. Sounds from next room could be hear clearly (I was on the 4th floor). Very friendly services. Will return again but not to the same floor if I can help it.

Excellent Place to Stay in Tokyo
Traveled Tokyo for 5 Days and Hotel New Otani was a great place to stay. The location was fantastic with various Tokyo Metro Subway Stations extremely close to the hotel. Service was also excellent although I'm not sure about the English skills of the staffs since I spoke in Japanese. I have experiences in staying at Hyatt Hotel at Shinjuku, and various Prince Hotels in Tokyo and while they are great as well, New Otani was the best so far.

Hotel New Otani
This was a very extravagant looking hotel. I was very awe struck upon entering this place. The view from our room was great. Besides that, everything was down hill. The sheets had stains all over them and I was thinking this is what you get from a 5 star hotel? Also, you pay so much to spend the night there, you'd expect to get internet service for free, but not the case here. we had to pay 13 bucks or so for internet per night.

Der Satz mit X das war wohl NIX
Dieses Hotel ist für diejenigen zu empfehlen, die höchste masochistische Ansprüche an das Personal haben. Sobald man als Besucher den Japanern in die Augen schaut, verbeugt sich das Personal bis die Stirn am Boden aufknallt, mit einem breiten Grinsen und Gesten, die kein Mensch verstehen kann. DIe Hoteleinrichtung ist geschmackvoll durchschnittlich 70 Jahre alt, mit elektronischem Piano, das schon morgens um 7.00 Uhr die Gäste mit lautem Geklimper aus den Federn holt. Apropos Federn: Die Betten sind so alt, dass die Federn ungefähr so hart sind wie die Stossdämpfer eines F40 Ferraris. Die restliche Zimmereinrichtung gleicht einer retro Ausstellung für geschmaklose Lagereinrichtung aus den 70er. Immerhin war der Teppich im Zimmer flauschig weich, wahrscheinlich wegen den Eskrementen der tausenden Gästen, die alle aus buddhistischem Glauben die Toilette nicht benutzen. Zu erwähnen wäre ausserdem noch die tolle Klimaanlage die das Zimmer bei angenehmen 30 Grad gehalten hat. Kurz zusammengefasst: Kein WLAN im Hotelzimmer Zimmerreinigung mangelhaft usw. Einzig zu empfehlen war die 250 SFr. teuere Champagnerflasche im veralteten Drehrestaurant.
