Best location for exploring the city

We have travelled many times to Tokyo and have hit all the major spots by shuttling around on the train and metro. On this trip we found ourselves in a neighborhood very conducive to walking to Roppongi, Aoyama, Shinjuku and the Imperial Palace grounds but also convenient to 5 different subway lines when we needed to get somewhere quickly. The garden setting of the hotel makes it a pleasant oasis in the hustle bustle of the city. The one amenity I really miss though is an onsen bath like many simple non-5 star hotels have in Japan.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

For runners - go out the garden tower entrance to the loop around the Imperial Palace or out of the main building entrance to access the path around the Akasaka Estate and through the Olympic stadium area.

Great hotel

It is a great hotel with class. Well trained staff. Food is a little pricy. Go out a few blocks and pay about an half. The garden is magnificent.

Excellent Deal on a Luxory Hotel.

There are a billion things to do within Tokyo. Basically we would take a train over to a district, see what there is to see and head back to relax at the hotel, before more adventures.

Great place to stay in tokyo

The new Othani hotel has a great location, directly at the subway (metro) station. The food at the hotel has great quality and is superb. The hotel rooms (I stayed in the main tower) are spaces and new. The service staff is very polite and very helpful.

Room so-so, service amazing, pool fee

The hotel and service were great. The room looks more like a 3 star and the fee to use the poll is $50 per person. Otherwise the great location, but the room was disappointing.

Great stay

Staff was very polite and helpful. It was a business hotel, so there were a lot of people in suits. We felt a little out of place in our jeans, but you get used to it. Room was comfortable and quiet.

Very nice location, excellent service

Very nice hotel, really big rooms and slightly above comfortable beds. In Akasaka, the metro station is very close and you can go to Ginza, Ropongi, Shibuya or Shinjuku in few stops. The complex is huge but still the service is excellent (as usual in Japan).
