Good value, can't beat the location
Great location. 6 mins from JR Yurakucho Sta (use the Kyobashi exit at NE end of station closest to Tokyo Sta), even closer to several Metro stations, around the corner from Ginza Chuo-dori, one of Tokyo's top shopping streets. Room small but that's beside the point. Attentive housekeeping, quick responses to requests.

Time-saving tip:
In Hotel
Room has electric kettle and mug cups. After spending too much on breakfast the 1st day, we bought a small jar of Nestle instant coffee at a convenience store (they are everywhere). Every morning we crossed the street to a Family Mart to buy pastries or sandwiches and ate in room. Saves time & money!

great location, comfortable stay
The hotel is in the heart of the Ginza district, plenty of reasonably priced eating places within walking distance and lots of fancy shopping. It is also close to metro stations. The rooms although small by US standards are very well designed and comfortable. Best of all- free, unlimited internet (wired).

decent hotel in Ginza
The Monterey Ginza is a decent hotel in a very upscale neighborhood of Tokyo. Rooms are average size (by Tokyo standards), well-appointed. Cotton slippers and nice cotton pajamas are provided. My 12th-floor room was quiet and clean. The AC worked well--too well, as the room was freezing even when I set it to as high a temperature as it would go; I had to modulate the room temperature by turning the AC on and off. However, since July in Japan is very hot and muggy, I was glad to have even an overactive AC. Staff was impeccably courteous and helpful, as is the norm in Japan, and had good English skills. The hotel is well located for easy access to the many restaurants and shopping of the Ginza district, and nearby train/subway stations.

Great Hotel
The Hotel is in a great location at the heart of Ginza, where is there is great shopping, wonderful dining, and is very near several metro stops. The rooms are little (at least the double room I shared with my sister was) but not uncomfortably small. Compared to other Hotels I stayed in while in Japan, this seems to be the average size of hotel rooms- unless you want to go a little higher end. The staff is helpful and very friendly.

Short walk from hotel
Take the metro! Cabs are expensive in Tokyo and the metro is VERY clean and easy to maneuver- even if you don't speak Japanese!

Very small rooms!
the hotel is in a great neighborhood...Ginza, a very exclusive area of Tokyo and just a couple blocks away from the Chicest shopping area. The rooms however are very, very small, but extremely clean.

Close to several metro stations
Close to several metro stations and within easy walking distance of Tokyo station this is a good base in Tokyo. It enabled me to come straight from the airport and later jump on the Shinkansen without having to change trains whith my lugage. Furthermore the hotel is close to several of the sights, in a nice neighbourhood. Room was small but well laid out, bathroom as well (tilled not plastic walls). The free internet access (cable not wifi) was good to have. I wish I had noticed the hotel sold cheap day tickets to the metro before I was checking out.
